George Lopez wasn't afraid to talk about show getting canceled on "Lopez Tonight" yesterday -- but he told the crowd that he was being fired because of the color of his skin.
Lopez -- whose voice was featured in the "Smurfs" movie -- was talking about how Sony has greenlit a "Smurfs" sequel during his monologue ... and quipped, "So today I lost some work because I'm brown, but I got some work because I'm blue!"
Is Lopez REALLY blaming race ... or was he just trying to crack a bad joke?

Exactly. He was fired because he cracked one too many bad jokes. For a liberal to be fired by liberals, there had to be a huge reason! It is amazing how not funny liberals can be. I find most liberal comics not only not funny, but rude, caustic, arrogant and down right ugly! Jeff Foxworthy is my choice for a good comic - but that’s just me.

There was a time when Lopez was just a comedian and he had some funny routines. However, in the last couple years, his schtick hasn’t been funny at all, it’s been very, very political and nasty. I couldn’t even get through 10 minutes of his last TV special (”America’s Mexican”) before I had to change the channel, because it was nothing but conservative/white bashing and liberal talking points.
Hey George the only reason you lasted this long was because you were brown and the networks wanted to be PC.

Correct you are. He was hired for that reason. My only response to unfunny George is, ‘you’ve done a helluva job Brownie, and now we don’t need you any more.’
It was last year that he had an HBO special from San Antonio. Many Texans tuned in and quickly tuned out. He was disgusting and very racist. There was much talk about it on FR at the time. No, George, you were fired because you’re an ugly hateful being.
