Hey, I got a great idea! Let’s give celebrities a media platform to bloviate about public policy and let’s all take them seriously! No important public policy issue should be made unless congress hears testimony from Sally Fields on farm policy and Jackson Brown on nuclear power and Matt Damon on economic policy. I mean, what could possibly go wrong? And Congress doesn’t have anything more important to do, does it?
I didn’t read the whole article, but it appears to me that Feldman is talking about something with which he has personal experience. I’m not certain how that morphs into the political bloviating of the stars you mentioned.
I don’t quite see how speaking against Hollywood pedophilia is “bloviating about public policy”.
