Obama: I’m being vilified just like MLK, Jr.
Legal Insurrection ^ | August 13, 2011 | William Jacobson

Posted on 08/13/2011 9:19:44 AM PDT by bkopto

At a fundraiser in New York, Obama likened his efforts to reform government to those of Andrew Cuomo, but then Obama also compared what he was going through to the trials and tribulations of Martin Luther King, Jr. (via Sam Foster):

Before leaving, Obama likened himself to one more figure. Martin Luther King, Jr.

“I think that we forget when he was alive there was nobody who was more vilified, nobody who was more controversial, nobody who was more despairing at times,” he said.

A short collection of Regime Media magazine covers (Time. Newsweek, etc.) propagandizing the head of their party as a saint.

The problem with Obama is that he can’t show who he really is to Americans because he’s a commie. He’ll never be a true leader. In a few years, he has tried to glom onto the Kennedy’s and Camelot, mimmicked Lincoln in his inaugural trip to Washington by train, making the same stops, had the audacity to use Reagan’s name and now MLK. I’m surprised it took him so long to latch onto MLK being the racist and race baiter that he is. He tries to attach himself to great men because he is a shell of a man and hollow. There is nothing there.

If you type in a search for “Obama compares himself to”, you get quite a long list. Reagan, JFK, FDR, Lincoln, etc.

I’m being vilified just like MLK, Jr

You are being vilified just like someone who rams society changing through congress without a national debate or even reading the details,
or like one who has no accomplishments, a clandestine past and produced only forged electronic birth documents,
or like one who has spent more in two years than any other administration could fathom in eight and all with no positive effect on the economy,
or like one who calls patriots terrorists,
or like one who destroys the use and production of energy,
or like one who uses the unconstitutional power of the federal government to close down Chrysler dealerships and destroy the wealth of business owners that contribute to your political opponents,
or like one who has destroyed private sector jobs but created temporary "green Jobs" at a cost of $2,000,000 each,
or like an petulant child that criticizes the courts when things don't go your way and the Constitution still has some force of law,
or like one who bows to foreign dignitaries of countries known to support terrorism,
or like one that creates a cadre of czars without accountability or oversight of the American people... and I'm just getting started.

But maybe we should just vilify you as a bastard three times over and Chicago thug tutored by Bill Ayers, discipled by Jeremiah Wright and a golf in your face elitist.

MLK is remembered for a righteous stance against the second class treatment of black sons of slaves, Barry Sotero will be remembered for his unrighteous stance to make others second class and enslave their children.

William A. Jacobson quotes James Taranto of the Wall Street Journal in this article. Here is Taranto's observation in full context of Obama's speech in 2008. I think it pretty much sums up the narcissism.
Oobamalmaboombom is in italics.

You've heard it before, but it's worth repeating as a reminder of just how puffed-up Barack Obama got back in 2008:

I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on earth. This was the moment--this was the time--when we came together to remake this great nation so that it may always reflect our very best selves and our highest ideals.

"The moment" wasn't Obama's election. It wasn't even his nomination. It was merely the "moment" when, by dint of finishing a close second in the New Mexico and South Dakota primaries, he had clinched enough delegates to make his lead over Hillary Clinton impossible for her to surmount. Oh, and he preceded this by declaring: "I face this challenge with profound humility, and knowledge of my own limitations." We sometimes say "I pride myself on my humility," but in our case the irony is witting

Jesse James - an American outlaw, gang leader, bank robber, and murderer was also 'vilified'... Vilification DOES NOT make a person 'good'... sometimes people are vilified for good reason.

MLK earned a hero status for his work with civil rights. He was unfairly vilified... Obama, on the other hand is like Jesse James - vilified for justifiable cause.

“It is official. Barry is certifiable.”

As a board certified shrink, I’ll serve if called upon to perform this duty for my country.

However, if the evaluation is ordered in respond to a plea of “not guilty by reason of insanity” regarding a charge of treason, I might decline.

MLK. He has more schools and streets named after him than all the founding fathers and other historical figures put together.
...........................................................
LMAO, Yes he does, and a white man isn’t safe on any of those streets.

If you go on a trip stay off any street named after MLK.

As for Obama using MLK to cry about his own treatment. I am surprised he hasn’t used Jesus Christ for the same purpose yet, Maybe becuase Christ could perform miracles and Obama cannot balance a budget or get one passed.

So how many personalities are we dealing with here? I know about the manchild, the party-hearty fool, the doper, the hen-pecked obediant, the gay whatever ... What else explains Obozo's problems?.

The truth is that when MLK jR. was alive there was nobody who was more vilified, nobody who was more controversial, nobody who was more despairing at times than Lydon Baines Johnson.

Yes, Obama is his own worst enemy. What a whiny jerk. He wanted the job. Did he honestly believe we would all bow down to his commie awesomeness and do everything he commanded?

Nobody Loves Barry. I wonder if it’s because he’s half white. White folks aren’t very popular in this country these days. They only keep us around because somebody has to pay for BIG government.

Martin Luther King was a man to be admired for his actions, faith and his ultimate sacrifice. The vile criticism of him was unwarranted and indeed was vilification.

If a person is a vile individual and one comments on his actions it is not vilification. It is simply an accurate description of the man, also known as President Obama.
