Ohh brother! What would he do without his lil ole kickapoo juice? Very entertaining, though quite insipid.

So what is Mr. Perry’s position on ilegal immigration? Where does he stand on corporate welfare?

A couple of his corporate donors received quite a lot of Texas dollars start up money. Put in very little of their own. Same ole, same old.

Rick Perry is a phony.

I hope Tea Party members see through him. He is an Establishment Republican. He will try to steal votes from the Party, but he is will not take risks to advance our cause. The Tea Party movement will stall or die if Rick Perry gets the nomination.

Look at the posts in Free Republic. Rick Perry supporters come off as an ugly mob who attack Tea Party candidates with immature name calling.

We do not want to be a part of this.

Rick Perry and his supporters want to destroy the Tea Party.

THE TEA PARTY MUST REJECT RICK PERRY!

.

I am looking for a winner and Perry is that winner. The rest of our field can not beat Obama.

Marco Rubio is Tea Party.

The Tea Party should not, in any way, support Rick Perry.

Don't let him fool you, people! Rick Perry is an opportunist and a phony!

The Tea Party, from the start, has been told that we could not make a difference, that we cannot we win.

If we hold firm, the Tea Pary *can* win.

We should *not* support an Establishment Republican like Rick Perry. Don't let them tell you we can't win unless we support an Establishment Republican.

Rick Perry is an opportunist and phony. He is an empty-shirt who will not fight strongly for our issues.

Perry is a fraud and it couldn't be more obvious. The name-calling and attacks on the Tea Party I can accept. What's hard to accept is how many so-called conservatives have been fooled by slick-Rick and his phony brand of politics.

Rick Perry was Al Gore’s Texas campaign manager Rick Perry endorsed pro-abortion candidate Rudy Giuliani for president in 2007
Rick Perry advocated for Texas’ version of the Dream Act and defends his position still
Rick Perry opposed the border fence
Rick Perry opposed SB 1070, Arizona’s anti-illegal immigration law
Rick Perry vocally opposed Obama’s stimulus plan but took billions in stimulus money to balance the Texas budget
Rick Perry said he was Fine with NY’s gay marriage law
Rick Perry was hand-picked by Karl Rove and is an establishment Republican
Rick Perry is no conservative

Ricks’s big bidness friends, in Texas, love open borders.

More customers... More cheap labor...

Perry talks big bluster about border security.. and then lets the “sanctuary City” bill die in the special legislative session. He could have muscled that through, if he had really wanted it to survive.

Texas big business is very happy letting the taxpayers subsidize the education and health care of their cheap
labor illegal employees.

Its high time to tell Rick Perry to “PUT UP or SHUT UP!”

If he doesn’t.... Adios Mofo!!!

THE TEA PARTY MUST REJECT RICK PERRY!

But, polls show Perry to be the Tea Party's favorite candidate!

Hope on the bandwagon. Resistance is futile.

Really good speech. I know Perry's got some questionable things on his resume, but heck--he is a far more articulate advocate of conservatism that G. W. Bush ever was. He will be a good candidate because he will convince people that conservative values are valid and worth supporting. He will not only help the GOP, he will help advance conservatism.

Compare this to Romney who has been on both sides of every issue, and the choice is a no-brainer.

Rick Perry was Al Gore’s Texas campaign manager

Who cares? Perry was one of the most conservative Democrats as a state legislator and was supporting the conservative alternative to Dukakis at the time, a candidate that was then pro-life and had just got finished leading the charge for warning labels on record albums.

And, yes, Perry has taken significant steps to secure the border:

While President Obama has failed to secure our borders, Gov. Perry has been a leader on this issue. “A porous border can only lead to more violence. Without border security, there can be no national security,” wrote Perry. During his tenure, Texas has increased the levels of personnel, technology and targeted operations resulting in an average of 65% reduction of all crime in the border communities.
