Well, in the US we made Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn into university Professors, and elected the candidate who launched his career in their home to our presidency. Looks like bomb making and radicalism pays off for certain people, even in the US.
They could just lay back for less than a year and the US troops will be gone. But, they want to raise the body count, draw blood. Or, maybe they don't trust Obie to keep his word either.
They want to lay claim to “We drove out the Crusaders.”
and they need to eliminate as many threats to their power base as possible while we are still there - it gives them the appearance of strength. when we leave they will have an easier go of taking over the whole country - which is their aim
They want to take some scalps.

Hadn't made the connection, but you might be on to somthing.
Thanks nuconvert.

I never heard anything like that but there's nothing I'd put past this President.
When I mentioned the arms to Al Qaeda in Libya I didn't actually mean that they were intended (with US knowledge) to go elsewhere but we don't know what happens to whatever we give them after it leaves our hands.
