Twice in one day. No doubt, some of you will see this as CNN stoking a catfight between Gov. Palin and Rep. Bachmann. Weve already documented that the media will attempt to do this, and the Governor wants nothing to do with it.
But frankly, this strikes me as a pretty straightforward analysis (once again) by CNN of the two oft-compared politicians approaches to interacting with the media. I could be wrong, but it seems like Don Lemon is seeing the real Palin for the first time. Kudos for him that he appears to recognize the authenticity that we so admire about the Governor. Its also not a good sign for Bachmann that she is being labeled as robotic in her interviews. All we can say is Welcome to our world, Michele. And well see you along the trail.

One thing we can count on is for the media and other campaigns to attempt to sow discord between them and a willing audience of idiots to eat it up.
Amen - they've all got strengths and weaknesses - this should be about beating the Zero, not clubbing kindred spirits.
Maybe. the straw poll and all. Lots of effort goes into those things. But part of a campaign is the wear and tear and how people handle that.
I always liked that Reagan clip where at the end of a long campaing Reagan visible tired told a heckler to shut up. It showed his character. All politicans will sooner or later refute to talkign points but The CNN video reminded me of rush’s media drive by segments were the MSM repeat the same talking points over and over and over.
noticing that one candidate speaks in sound bites and talking points and one doesn’t is now Ed rollins like?
got it.
You did watch the video right? CNN is saying Bachmann does not know how to deal with the media where as They gave Gov Palin compliments for how she handled the media.
“Gov Palin is getting more respect from CNN than she gets from Fox”
That is because FOX is the pipe organ for the GOP Establishment, which both detests and fears Palin. Prior to getting the nomination in 1980, the nastiest shots that Reagan took were not from Walter Cronkite or John Chancellor but from the GOP Establishment.
I expect Palin to get a fairer shake from CNN. And make no mistake. She is going to get a lot of votes in the general election from people who have heretofore detested the GOP and would never vote for a GOP candidate.
I remember her saying she had to take medication for migrains and such. Those tend to be quite sedating.
Knowing others who deal with those meds, that might explain her demeanor.
You don’t see a clear difference between a gov that gave her state a $12 billion surplus, cut spending by 9.5% in real terms, cut federal earmark requests by 86% led her state to be the second highest job creator in % terms over the last 5 years in the nation to some one that that tried (and failed) to get the lightbulb unbanned in Congress?
Accomplishment and records matter.
That’s a (very) interesting theory.
Fox = old guard GOP.
Old guard GOP disses Palin.
CNN counters, by being fair to Palin? That’s what I’d do if I were in charge over there, though I’m skeptical any part of the media can get past their liberal slant.
Both ladies are also eligible for the Presidency. Comrade Barry ISN'T!
The media asks nonstop gotcha questions of Bachmann.
She’s responding the best way one could.
If you aren’t caught by the gotcha question, then what you see in this article is the next line of attack. She stayed on message instead of falling into the baited trap.
This article kills two birds with one stone by trying to divide and conquer conservatives. Set them against each other, build the one not running up and tear the one running down. If Palin joins or leads they’ll get her next.
Michelle Bachman does need to stop repeating talking points. Not just her...but any candidate.
It might work with getting a message across to America, but I get bored easily and stop listening.
I said their ideas overlap. So on that point I agree. but from a style, substance and resume standpoint there is no comparision. My point is we are not comparing Gov Perry to thad McCotter both have the same ideas and overlap on key issues so why should we compare Gov Palin to Bachmann.
The correct comparison would be to compare Gov Perry to Gov Palin.
Wen was the last time Commie News Net went after a Demonrat for doing the same thing they criticize MB for?
We all know how CNN is so right and reliable. Palin appears on CNN every week...oh wait!
As of now that is my thinking too. while some of Perry’s stands on immigration and other isssues give me pause he appears to be a mile better than Mitt and I think the race will come down to Palin, Perry and Mitt maybe rudy.
so for me its Palin,Perry and not sure I can support Mitt at all yet but he has to be at least a little bit better than the full marxist we hav ein Obama
Enjoy voting for Open Borders Rick. It will be your last time to ever vote for a “conservative”.
After that, a democrat will always be your president.
