Tell us all how electable Perry is the minute he starts crawling out of single-digit territory in any state outside the old confederacy.

Well, lucky day for you! Just yesterday there was a poll showing Perry picking up 20% in Colorado; there was a Rasmussen poll showing Perry with 29% in the Republican primary race on a national level; and there was also a poll showing Perry at 47% in Ohio in a matchup against Obama. Since he just announced on Saturday, that sounds like a pretty good start.

Ohioans haven’t gotten to know Perry yet. Once they peg him as an OBL front man, he’ll be lucky to match McCains numbers there.
