Sarah Palin Is a Tease!

Sarah Palin Is a Tease!

Even after Michele Bachmann’s win in the Iowa straw poll last weekend, Sarah Palin won’t go away. Is she really serious about running for president? As Meghan McCain sees it, not a chance.

It’s the middle of August and we’re in the dog days of a political summer, when the Republican contenders for president are scrambling to figure out how to unseat Obama in 2012. The exaggerated importance placed on last weekend’s Ames straw poll isn’t a surprise. Michele Bachmann probably won’t be our next president, but the intense need for some sort of political news in our nonstop 24-hour cycle is to be expected. What should not be expected, however, is that six months away from the New Hampshire primary in January, the media is still spending a considerable amount of time obsessing over Sarah Palin, a woman who may or may not even be interested in a run for the White House.

Huge Bump...no kidding ...everyone here cuts and pastes when it suits them

I support Sarah Palin....got more bonafides than anyone here but JR and his pics with her grinning at him....but I will support any social conservative...maybe even Perry if I have to...and I don't hate those who already do.

Folks should defend her by the strength of argument...not by whining for the moderators or sucking up to the owner

It's weak and silly.

I can defend any of the folks running or maybe running that I like just fine without needing help from Fresno.

And guess what else?

So some don't agree...then so what.

I joined here 11 years ago when there were more moderates and libertarians than now and precious few Southern culture war zealots like me

and I dealt with it.

I so loathe the packs and their zotgasms.

That is what they really are about..Sarah just gives them an excuse to do what they do natural...be jackasses.

If you truly believe 1/10 of this trash that you post several times a day, and you know you don’t, then you do not have one iota of knowledge about who and what Sarah Palin is. She is the complete opposite of this nonsense that wastes the bandwidth that Jim Robinson and some of us pay for.

I think Polybius is a Perry guy...and JR on the freepathon header said the forum could unlike Mitt, live with Perry.

I’m sure on the second part but dim recall on the first.

Should I be wrong...mea culpa in advance.

Poly sure ain’t a Mitt man lest he wants his head on the bloc

I’m not sold on Perry but he is more conservative than Slick though they both have acute political instincts

I saw Slick coming...being from the same gene pool...many Yankees did not

On Perry...he bugs me on borders more than anything and his late conversion..I don’t get as high a radar alert as I did with Slick.

We’ll see...he’s down my list.

I do think Perry and his posse are more socially conservative than Bush and his high end gang of establishment types.

Her negatives are way to strong to overcome. The only ones that will vote for her are on the far right and there just isn’t enough of them to do any good. Sorry, she is a good strong conservative, gives a good speech but not presidential material.

LOL! I seem to remember the exact same thing being said about Ronald Reagan long about March of 1980. We all know how THAT turned out.

You mean when the fair crowd roared “NO”, back to Hannity, after asking if SP should run?

You mean that crowd that was made up of Michelle Bachmann and Ron Paul supporters? ;o)

That's one example. Barry Goldwater is another. We all know how THAT turned out.

Not saying that Palin is Reagan or Goldwater. Every case has to be weighed on it's merits. Making historical analogies is useful to know how things have worked out before, but past performance of Person A or B 40 years ago doesn't necessarily have direct bearing on Person C in 2011.

One of our local radio guys called Bill Clinton a Southern Gentleman on his show, one morning. I called him and informed him that Bill Clinton may be a Southerner, but he was no gentleman.

If Perry ends up being the nominee, I’ll vote for him, but every time I see him, I think “Plastic Man”.

Barry Goldwater never reached the popularity level of Ronald Reagan. Reagan was able to get the conservative Democrats and the Independents to vote for him. I believe that if Sarah had the microphone, as a candidate, she’d be able to get her positive message out, and folks tired of Obama might just cotton to it.

However, I do get frequent FReepMails from FR readers that see my writings and thank me for the data I post.

We've some DU-bots on here, I see.

I do know that, if you were at the Mall of America on June 29 and you bought one of Sarah Palin's books, she would have refused to sign it for you unless you also bought Bristol's book.

Bristol Palin with Special Guest Sarah Palin Book Signing Wednesday, June 29, 2011 5 p.m. Rotunda

Look at Rule Number 4.

"4. You must have a copy of “Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far” in order to purchase a copy of “America by Heart” and/or “Going Rogue” signed by Sarah Palin."

As for JimRob, he has made it clear that Obama must be defeated and that Perry would "make an excellent alternative to Obama the Commie".

Yet, look at how many Palin fanatics on FR are threatening to boycott the general election or write in "Palin" if they don't get their Palin GOP nomination.

I read all the comments and dont see many (or any) actually disagreeing with you, just some cursing and threatening you.

During the vacation East Coast History tour they all (many) thought it was brilliant strategy her playing that way.

Perry is a professional politician who is plain wrong an critical issues—see immigration.

Palin's plan for immigration is similar to Perry's, although there is a lot of missing detail in both.

Palin video 7-9-2010 "....the steps that at some point through immigration reform we're going to be able to provide, and that is to somehow allow you to work."

That sounds like sucking up in lieu of a good argument to me, but that’s just my opinion. Either way, it smacks of hypocrisy. If what Polybius wrote was out of line, it was out of line whether it was cut and paste or not. Attacking someone like Polybius over cutting and pasting when there are far worse offenders, just makes you look bad.
