Black caucus: Tired of making excuses for Obama

During a sometimes-raucous session of what's being called the "For the People" Jobs Initiative tour, a key member of the Congressional Black Caucus told an audience in Detroit Tuesday that the CBC doesn't put pressure on President Obama because he is loved by black voters. But at the same time, Rep. Maxine Waters said, members of the CBC are becoming increasingly tired and frustrated by Obama's performance on the issue of jobs. Even as she expressed support for the president, Waters virtually invited the crowd to "unleash us" to pressure Obama for action.

**snip**

The problem, Waters said, is that Obama is not paying enough attention to the problems of some black Americans. The unemployment rate for African-Americans nationally is a little over 16 percent, and almost twice that in Detroit. And yet, Waters said, the president is on a jobs-promotion trip through the Midwest that does not include any stops in black communities. "The Congressional Black Caucus loves the president too," Waters said. "We're supportive of the president, but we're getting tired, ya'll. We're getting tired. And so, what we want to do is, we want to give the president every opportunity to show what he can do and what he's prepared to lead on. We want to give him every opportunity, but our people are hurting. The unemployment is unconscionable. We don't know what the strategy is. We don't know why on this trip that he's in the United States now, he's not in any black community. We don't know that."

That IS the strategy! More people becoming MORE dependent on big government. It's obvious, but aunt Maxine ain't the sharpest pencil in the box.

“Our people are hurting.”

“Our people?!”

A curious choice of wording.

It’s politics. He has 85% approval among blacks so why campaign among them? Much like GWB hardly campaigned in Texas. Why? He had the votes.

Looks like we could fill planet-sized libraries with all the stuff Maxine Waters doesn't know.

And when a person don't know much, as Maxine obviously doesn't, then it comes as no surprise that she looks to a sniveling moron (the clown now riding around the countryside in a bus called "Casket One") for answers, as her remarks clearly indicate.

Right. Because we don't have that other branch of government that she was elected to. Heaven forbid the CBC get off its collective behinds and lead themselves. All they want to do is put pressure on Zero. Read that "we'd like to stand in front of the media and whine, while prominently playing the race card, because we have no other solutions, and we don't want to be held accountable for our own ineptitude and the failures of our communities."

Look for a challenger to Obama soon. We need very strong candidates like Paul Ryan/Rubio to beat whoever we go against.

And why SHOULD he have an affinity for blacks, or a special concern for their plight? He isn’t black. He simply rode on the backs of dumb, racist blacks (and self-flagellating whites) who can’t see past the color of his skin for political gain. That game served him well going all the way back to his teenage years, through a free and unmerited ride through college, to rabble rousing in the streets of South Chicago, to being handed a Senatorship, to the Presidency. He’s made it to the top. He doesn’t need black suckers anymore, and besides, they’re such suckers that they aren’t going anywhere anyway. What I find even more troubling than Obama’s total lack of ethics or soul in his quest for personal power is people like Maxine Waters constantly braying about “our people” and utterly IGNORING the welfare of the nation at large for a bump in welfare handouts to blacks.
