Weapons purchased during the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives controversial Fast and Furious undercover investigation, which included the sale to straw buyers of hundreds of AK-47 assault rifles, have turned up at a dozen violent crime scenes across the Southwest, the Justice Department told a Senate committee. In a letter to Sen. Patrick J. Leahy, Vermont Democrat and chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and the committees ranking Republican, Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, the Justice Department confirmed that the illegally purchased weapons recently were found at the sites of at least 11 violent crimes.

It is hard to say at this point. We only know of 12 crimes in the US- so far. The number of dead seem to be growing.
I just hope the next President doesn't ignore this...
They’re still trying to use it as a spurious pretext to argue against the Second Amendment.
That, IMHO, is what it was all about. Send American guns to Mexico to kill Mexican children, then make Americans feel bad enough they'd allow the government to take away their rights. Obama and Holder have $h!t in their nest. In one breath they're telling Latinos how much they love them. With the next they're telling gun store owners to break the law to send guns across the border to kill Mexican children. "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them" St. Matthew 7:20.
I'd like to know, where's the outrage? Where are all those who scream bloody murder when states pass laws against illegal immigrants? Where's Nancy Pelosi talking about how un-American this is, as she does about deporting illegals. How much money went to Mexican officials to shut them up. We can't muss the hair of an illegal Mexican without Mexico filing suit. Why are they so quiet on this?
Another Obama reelection campaign slogan: “Americans dead - yes we did!”
Because they like breathing.
After all, if the FBI,BATF,DOJ,CIA are in cahoots with the Drug Lords (and they have been for, oh, a long, long time), then you learn to keep your mouth shut.
All of those keywords are associated with this story.
The reason the Obama Administration is so quiet is because they have done incredibly stupid and illegal actions that have resulted in multiple murders both here and in Mexico and god knows where else.
They are now trying to cover it up.
The reason Issa is quiet is simple timing. It's summer and most people are on vacation and simply not paying attention.
This is going to get a lot more interesting starting in late September
Excellent!
Being that Obama and Holder like breathing too, I hope they won't mind letting the "buck" stop with them on this one.
LOL At least stick in ‘gunwalker’ so I don’t miss any threads you post. I will take care of the rest. ;-)
I agree with your reasoning about Issa’s silence. Add to that the debt “crisis” and now 0bummer’s vacation and it has not been a good time to compete for news coverage.
Yikes. Gunwalker it is boss :)
Sorry, I don’t mean to be critical but it’s hard to find an article when it has passed off of the ‘latest articles’ page without a keyword that relates to it.
I think these sorts of discoveries of F & F weapons at crime scenes throughout the So. West confirm without any doubt the intent to cripple, dispose of our 2nd Amendment freedoms.
I think we are having a "dog that didn't bark" moment here. Notice that we learn nothing about who died in these 'crimes of violence' from the article and, I assume from the Justice Department letter. If there were no deaths in these 11 crimes I think we would have been told so.
Also note that letter tells us that the Justice Department was simply 'aware' of the 11 violent crimes inferring that that really don't have the details. I guess they just heard some rumors. Or, of course, they could just lying about what they know.
Issa needs to keep digging.
Who knew that Dems would suddenly fall in love with assault rifles?
