GOP Foes, Team Obama Pile on New Frontrunner Perry
Fox ^ | August 17, 2011 | Chris Stirewalt

Welcome to the Big Rodeo, Gov. Perry

"Everybody who runs for president, it probably takes them a little bit of time before they start realizing that this isn't like running for governor or running for senator or running for Congress, and you've got to be a little more careful about what you say.”

-- President Obama on CNN warning Rick Perry about his comments on the prospect of more stimulus by Federal reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke.

Did you hear? Rick Perry threatened to execute Ben Bernanke and suggested that the reason the economy was in such bad shape is because President Obama is black.

Wednesday saw a full-blown media hyperventilation – stoked by the president and White House press secretary – over Perry’s comments that it would be “almost treasonous” if the Federal Reserve chairman were to print more money in a bid to boost the wilting economy in advance of the 2012 election.

The Obama campaign and its liberal backers have begun to build the narrative that Perry is a reckless and radical figure, including one cable and radio host who cut a Perry sound bite to make it seem that Perry had said Obama was “a dark cloud” hanging over the American economy instead of what he did say, which was that uncertainty and debt were dark clouds hanging over the economy. This led to a long discussion about Perry’s secret racism and the racist tendencies of the Tea Party movement.

Meanwhile, other reporters have been digging through the trove of piquant Perry statements from his decade governing Texas, including the hot microphone moment when he left the set of a querulous TV interview saying “adios mofo".

We'll all be saying “Adios mofo" on January 20, 2011 when Sotero and family are sent packing. Special wide-load moving van for The Bride of Big-Foot, Mooosh.

If you can turn back time why not turn it back to a time when we can prevent Juan McCain from getting the Republican nomination?

I don’t know enough about Perry at this time, but at least he signed up for a tour of duty. Besides Ron Paul, I don’t know of any other presidential candidate who has prior military service.

You are welcome. I'm glad you saw it as humorous as that was my intent.

I have a good one myself as you can see at the link below.

Their response was typical for the liberal “asphalt engineers.” They sit on their ass and find fault with everyone and everything.

The “media”propaganda bureaus and their DNC bosses will target Perry hard on the race issue from now until his first debate. As the Schultz incident fades from memory, a new “quote” will “surface.” Just as they do with everyone in their way, the propagandists will create a steady “drip-drip-drip” of carefully cherry-picked and edited “quotes” from Perry to substantiate their claims he`s a closet Jim Crow enthusiast.

Future propaganda will make a big production about that first debate appearance, stating Perry has to really “wow” the electorate..and failing that, he`ll fade into irrelevance. Regardless of his debate effectiveness, the search will be on for the slightest gaffe to portray him as nothing but a bumbling G. W. Bush clone.

Isolate..attack..marginalize...diminish the GOP opposition. Clearing the field for 0bama`s reelection.. that`s the function of the MSM.

“you’ve got to be a little more careful about what you say.”

Unless you have MSM not reporting what you say.

I don’t know enough about Perry at this time,

That's why attacks on him at this time are a good thing. It lets people see how he handles stress and how well he responds under fire.

The general election's over a year away. So the attacks on him also allow him and his campaign to learn and mature under a pretty permissive environment. It used to be, for just this reason (that attacking the opponent from the other side would actually help him and his campaign) that the incumbent/opposing party's candidates would hold their fire until much later in the cycle.

All these People instead of reacting to what Perrys Statements sound like, These ass hats should Listen to what he is saying and determine if they have Merit or Not. When a Government figure is Printing worthless Paper that happens to be our Currency,I tend to agree With Perry.

“Did you hear? Rick Perry threatened to execute Ben Bernanke”

Execute....hmmm I do not think that word was used...treason maybe but not execute.

Oh no! I didn’t see that one coming (really?). Time for Perry to jump out of the frying pan, and into the fire, and let’s see how He handles the heat. I thing he’ll do just fine.

Re: Ben Bernake and Perry’s comments regarding printing money to elevate Obama’s re-election chances:

The mainstream media said Perry wants to “string him up” (Salon — since removed) because (with their “logic”) Texas has the death penalty. Alternately, Texas will “string him up to the back of a pick-up and drag him down the road” (HuffPo).

Just my opinion, of course, but I think that Perry was warming up the use of the word "treasonous" for Obama himself. Bernanke is just a lacky.

Perry's attack on Bernanke, however valid, was merely a probing volley.

The real goal here is to keep poking and prodding Obama's defenses with the accusation of treason until it can be printed on a poster (i.e. "Obama is a traitor to everything America stands for!")
