‘Authorized Journalists’ show hostility of press toward ‘conservative’ views
Gun Rights Examiner ^ | 17 August, 2011 | David Codrea

Regular readers know I use the term “Authorized Journalists” to describe the establishment press, the folks who won’t cover Gunwalker but fall all over each other trying to get more gun laws passed as a result of it. This comes in from The Washington Times: At a Chicago press conference held by Sen. Dick Durbin of IL, himself one of the biggest enemies of the Second Amendment in government, conservative journalist William Kelly tried to ask him a question:

“Senator, you’ve blamed the tea party…but do you bear any responsibility for this downgrade crisis?”

The press went wild—the "Authorized Journalists," that is, dismissing Kelly as a Tea Party organizer, telling him he wasn’t a reporter and couldn’t ask questions—the same thing happened to me at a Brady Campaign event at a public park in California, except my antagonist was an “Only One”—and the bottom line is they harassed Kelly for credentials—not anyone else, just him, and a law enforcement rep escorted him out.

The regressive left habitually and falsely accuses Second Amendment activists of not caring about the rest of the Bill of Rights, but this shows that’s just projection and deflection masking their own hostility to all freedom—remember John Kerry saying the press didn’t need to give Tea Partiers equal time because their opinions weren’t valid?

When the history of our time is written—as it always is, by the victors—let’s work toward making sure their shameful abdication of all semblance of ethics is what people remember about these wretched subversives, these Fourth Estate Fifth Columnists.

That means we need to be the ones who win.

The MSM is losing power, and it cannot happen fast enough to suit me. The mediacracy must fall, and the Republic must rise.

They are absolutely repulsive! That said, they are not loosing power, in fact I believe they are either gaining power or feeling empowered under this administration.

We all see The Won’s outright hostility towards FNC and others, the press is running with it! I’ve stopped reading Newsweak, Time and NYT. I do not watch the nightly news or broadcast TV in general. Something more has to be done, I just wish I knew what that is.

Liberals make up only 20% of the general population. Conservatives make up 40% of the general population. Why do the minority want to take away our democratic rights?

Regular readers know I use the term “Authorized Journalists” to describe the establishment press . . . .

Better description? Simply refer to them as employees of "news" organizations

even better, skid marks on Journalism's shorts.

“Authorized Journalist”... a term used to identify the proud graduates of the Josef Goebbels School of Journalism. The school’s namesake would be truly proud.

Just imagine if it were a Republican president and the regular press corps were conservatives (I know, but we can imagine that for the sake of this example). A liberal reporter barges in and asks the president pointed questions, and the conservative reporters upbraid him for not being a regular. That story would be headlined in all the lib rags and tv shows for a week. “CONSERVATIVE HACKS ATTACK LIB REPORTER” the headlines would scream.

Good one.

P.J. O’Rourke jokes that he attended the “Close Cover Before Striking!” School of Journalism.

The press belong to that enormous cadre of people nationwide who remain loyal to the Marxist fantasy that ‘the great communist dream of the Workers’ Paradise would work if only it were done right.’

These clowns are ignorant of history and how they are replaying it. The same dissatisfactions were evident in the old Soviet Union as, one by one, Lenin, and then Stalin, eliminated all dissent with the gulag and the firing squad.

No doubt these press clowns would be content to see many on the right sent along the same path, if only they could propagate their soviet-style fantasy.

However, the lesson of history is, by now, well-nigh irrefutable, despite the idiot daydreams of the writers of America’s screeds who pass themselves off as the purveyors of the news.

Freedom is freedom, and it is absolutely and eternally antithetical to the collectivist mindset.

“I call them the Democrat Propaganda Ministry.”

Very good! Hadn’t heard that one before. It needs to come into consistent and prominent usage in PUBLIC. That’ll really piss’em off.
