I wanted Palin to run so that should could prove the media wrong by performing well against the others in the primaries, but if she just thinks she can jump in at the last minute and get my vote without actually earning it, she’s got another thing coming.

Last minute?

The 2012 election is 14.5 months away.

Ronald Reagan let the clock tick down to 12 months.

CFR-Rick Perry just got in last week.

Did CFR-Rick get in at the "last minute?"

Just because the cable news networks need stories to cover does not mean that a candidate has to declare three years ahead of time.

Are you saying that there is no time left for debates, with 14.5 months to go?

PS - She is declaring on September 3rd. Is that "the last minute?"

If she gets in then, then fine. but if she thinks she can wait till the middle of next year after all the debates are done (which is what this article implied) then no, I don't think that's ok.

I have no problem with her waiting this long, or even a little longer. I have a problem with her possibly waiting until after all the debates are over and entering right before the actual primaries.

It seems logical..... let the field narrow with the heavy weights like Perry and Romney..... then when the real debates are set it will be the better minds forefront. I will include Ron Paul in this as I keep going back to last election and listening to his points... many came true and he was more spot on than McCain and Obama ever where...
