Fresh off three days of barnstorming in the Midwest, President Obama will spend the morning at the White House in two closed-door meetings, first with his senior economic advisors in the Oval Office then with his national security team in the Situation Room.

In the afternoon, Obama heads to the island oasis of Martha’s Vineyard off the coast of Massachusetts, where he’s expected to spend the next 10 days vacationing with his family.

Maxine Waters noticed. I saw Ms. Waters on Morning Joe today. She was bemoaning Obama not addressing the high unemployment among blacks. What I noticed was how Ms. Waters gently suggested that Obama wasn’t doing enough for blacks. There was no vitriol, no anger, no calling him a racist who hates blacks. She simply seemed slightly discouraged that Obama wasn’t doing enough.

If that had been GWB taking a bus tour to prosperous white communities in the midst of a recession, the entire CBC would have been jumping up and down calling him a racist.

Liberals are full of hate, and they are unable to unleash it on Obama. If a Republican wins in 2012, look out, a lot of pent up hatred is going to be let loose.

How did Maxine Waters ever get into elected office. Do people in CA pay any attention to people like Pelosi, Boxer, and Waters? Same with Harry Reid, even though he's from NV. I guess people just want the "free stuff" so bad they'll vote for anyone who promises it.

Yep “a lot of pent up hatred is going to be let loose.” This will happen on both sides. Obama has set the black people back 100 years by his policies. If he wants to truly settle things down, right now, RESIGN, don’t wait for the election. At least it would be his decision, not the peoples, and things may settle down. If they don’t, they will have to take what comes.

If Obama wins a second term, it’s the death of the Republic. I’m not going for the overly dramatic, I firmly rationally believe it. If Obama wins, it means that a majority of Americans, regardless of performance of the government, desire communism. It will be a mandate for Obama and the communists.

No, I was aware of the demographics. Clearly, people must be voting on racial lines with little regard to examining what the candidate stands for...especially those who, after he got the nomination, thought Obozo was going to pay their mortgage, gas for their cars, etc. like we saw that one woman say on TV. I wonder if Blacks are better off now than they were before Obozo got into office? If so, people like Maxine will continue to get reelected. I like Glen Beck's solution: If you don't pay any federal income taxes, no votes. If you pay between $10,001 and $20,000, 2 votes; $20,001 to $30,000, 3 votes and so on up to $50K and 5 votes. After that, it doesn't matter. I know it's not feasible, but I like the idea that, if you have nothing in the game, you don't get to play.

Ive been pondering that scenario wondering how it might unfold. Seems to me theres little chance of it b/c so much political/intellectual/emotional capital has been spent keeping Barry in play. The investment so far is huge w/ nothing really to show for it. I just can’t see liberals in general and the political class in specific taking the hit. To admit Barry is a failure implies core liberal beliefs have failed. Barry is embodiment of everything liberals have been pushing for decades.

Obama hasn't "worked" much more as POTUS than he did as a Senator... more vacation and campaigning than actual work (though when he isn't "working", he's doing a bit less damage to the nation...).

Would be interesting to see a comparison of GW Bush's "vacation" schedule and style in his first term vs. the Obama Klan's vacationing so far in his first term...
