The rough market session continues into the early hours of the Friday open in Asia.

Japan is down sharply, currently off over 2%.

Meanwhile, US futures keep grinding lower after the bell.

Watch for more rough going tomorrow, especially in tech, as HP fell 10% after the bell following the announcement of re-org plans.

All the Asian markets are down, most over 2%...see here. (If these quotes are a few minutes late...I don't care)

Gold is still going bananas!

Don’t worry, our resident Marxists will save us with a Great Leap Forward or is that a Five Year Plan? Not to worry, our Great Leader will inspire us with a speech just as soon as he recharges his massive intellect with a few days vacation with the commoners on Martha’s Vineyard.

Yikes! Looks like another bad week on Wall St

Last week I wanted to exchange out of my index fund into an ETF that specializes in essentials. They told me I had to open a brokerage account first, took my money out and parked it in a money market until my account got final approval. The next day the market started tanking and my money is still sitting in that money market waiting for things to stabilize. Now all I have to worry about is my cash becoming worthless before my stocks would have.

Yeah, Asian indexes are down, but we saw worse a few days ago. And the Dow is only down 79 points as I write this. Looks like tomorrow could be down some, but no reason for panic, yet.

Unless you wear a bowler hat, I don't think you would be interested. Back in the day, the base unit for the phone went on your head. The hat would hide it. They stopped using that system when people stopped wearing hats. It looked silly.

A fellow on the radio last night basically said a prudent person should be prepared for Dow 3000

I don’t own any stocks, so Dow 12 wouldn’t bother me.

But Beans $15.00 is not a good thing.
And Hoardz-a-zombies ain’t so good neither!
