Dismal poll numbers for Obama in PA
Morning Call ^ | August 19, 2011 | Colby Itkowitz

President Barack Obama, who political experts say will need a win in Pennsylvania to retain the White House, dipped to 35 percent approval among the state's registered voters, according to a Muhlenberg College poll released Friday.

The results come on the heels of a bad week in polls for Obama that showed him first dropping to 39 percent nationwide in Gallup's daily tracking poll. Then another set of Gallup results Thursday showed only 26 percent of Americans approve of how Obama is handling the economy.

These numbers are a huge blow to Obama who won the state handily in 2008, and a significant drop in just a few weeks from when Quinnipiac University polled Pennsylvania voters and found the president with 43 percent job approval.

Normally, i would agree that he is toast, but I’m concerned about him giving 30 million illegals amnesty and the vote in the next few months. Stopping deportations and encouraging DREAM ACT is just the beginning.

I also worry about the illegals. Although there is no way the Executive Branch can grant citizenship to illegals (going against current law) we have seen during the past 2-1/2 years that boy king Hussein doesn't give one wit about the laws or the Constitution. War in Lybia anyone? Ignoring the judicial branch on how many occasions now?

And never forget that his reelection of 2012 will have the full support of the Blacks, the unions, the wall street fat cats, and all those 51% of Americans that pay NO FED INCOME TAX.

WE ARE IN TROUBLE, my opinion about the outcome will remain private for now.

A decade from now nobody is ever going to admit having voted for this clown.

Maybe; but then I remember similar mutterings about clinton, until the stupid Repubs were bamboozled by the MSM and the elitist RINOs to put Dole at the head of the ticket. I see similar fracturings happening now, between the falling polls, the third-party undercurrents, and the all pervasive RINOs. God help us if this cretin gets a second term, as it will be the end of our Republic.

Me too, Josa, I think PA is hopelessly committed to the socialism that Ben Franklin would have opposed.

that by itself can create the civil disruption he needs to declare national emergency ... be prepared for all hell to break loose

As I see it, Casey is definitely vulnerable, since his voting record is consistently in alignment with 0's. But I don't think Santorum could win, as he got pretty beat up last time by the media in PA.

As for other candidates, Glenn Meakem (entrepreneur and conservative talk show host in Western PA) has declared that he will NOT run (he has kids 9, 10, and 11, and doesn't want to be an absentee father between now and 2018). I don't know of any other names at this time.

I don’t know, there was a period when you couldn’t hear a good word about Slick Willie in this area but now I hear people saying how great a president he was. It is absurd to me but some really believe he was the creator of American greatness. They chatter about how good the economy was under Slick but cannot name one thing he did to make it so. The same people believe we were in a depression for eight years under George W. Bush and Obama is pulling us out.

Note that Maxine Waters of the CBC is getting critical of Hussien this week. In addition, Feingold of Wisc has announced that he is not running for any office in 2012.

If the liberals in DNC are getting nervous or abanding ship now, you can imagine what the other democrats are thinking now.

I live in Rural Pennsylvania and the gas prices are making survival very difficult..
It has come down to $3.54 but still unaffordable to many living on limited incomes.

In my very small home town there are a lot of Democrats that think Obama is wonderful!!! of course they are all on SS or welfare so they are loving their food stamp pres. we are limiting our visit there and even looking for a new church to attend, that would be closer to us due to gas cost. and I though when we retired everything would be just fine...the future is frightening. I plan to work and support ANY ONE BUT OBAMA.. SURE HOPE SARAH PALIN SOON ANNOUNCES, THAT CAN REALLY STROKE MY FIRE IN THE BELLY.

Thanks for the info. I think that Santorum could beat Casey this time around. It’s not 2006. PA’s chnged a lot, and with Obama atop the ticket, Casey could have trouble..besides, 6 years ago, I suspect that at least 1/3 of Casey’s voters thought they were voting for his father.Santorum’s gained a hig profile..name recognition..and if he ran..especaily since there’s no other name GOP candidate..he’d have NO trouble raising $$$$$

That is because he never thinks it is his fault that anything goes wrong.

He is so self delusional he always thinks he is right.

Tom Ridge might be able to beat him.

Of course, he is a squishy RINO, so it wouldn't be too much of an improvement.

The Wannabe King, with no clothes, will drag the anti-American RATs down with him. Every reprehensible politician that voted for ObamaCare aka DeathCare must be named, exposed and voted out starting in 2012 and thereafter.

I was more afraid when Obama took office. Fortunately, the socialists drafted a screwup, and the first thing a screwup does is screwups his agenda.
