Honestly I don’t even care. I just want us to have nothing to do with the mess.
Boy, ain’t that the truth.
The big problem will be the radicals who replace him. Gaddafi caused us grief a couple decades ago. But as of late he wasn't a serious threat to us. You can bet his replacement eventually will be though. Not too mention the resentment it will buy us.
I believe Premier Hussein knows the MB or AQIM will (if not immediately, but soon) assume the reins of power in Libya.. that`s probably why he wants to downplay our role in this bloody mess. He`s hedging the bets though. A post-Gaddafi government — however shaky — may indeed show a modicum of secular, pro-western tilt in the short term, and then he`ll be all over the news doing victory laps. The sheeple will eat it up again for a while. When the islamists make their move, the sheep will have long moved on and forgotten where and what Libya is.
