A Palin Announcement on September 3rd Looks More Likely
Big Government ^ | Sunday August 21, 2011 | Natalie Nichols

Posted on 08/21/2011 11:51:59 AM PDT by Bigtigermike

If the Republican Presidential race were a poker game, you could say that Palin, the underdog has remained in late position long enough to see the full ring, to expose the live ones. She’s learned their tells, and she’s seen some bust, but now it’s time for her to go all in with what looks to be a royal flush.

If you’re not a poker player, you may need a poker dictionary to decipher my analogy. And “they” think she doesn’t know how the game of politics is played. The good old boys just never realized that she wasn’t playing by their rules.

If, or rather when, Sarah Palin announces her candidacy for President; Republican polls will likely shift in her favor.

[...]

It’s looking more and more these days as if Sarah Palin will announce her run for the White House in short order. If you keep up with Palin’s history, you may come to the conclusion that there is no accident in her decision to go to Iowa September 3rd for what many believe will be her big announcement. September 3, 2011 is three years, to the day, that Sarah Palin accepted the nomination for Vice President and gave her famously rousing speech during the Republican National Convention.

[..]

72% of likely Republican voters say when casting their primary vote, they favor a candidate who shares their views over one who has a better chance of winning.

That turns the notion of people agreeing with Sarah Palin, but “don’t think she can win” from a negative, into a potential strength. They are going to vote for her regardless, thus, breaking the mold of the typical voter.

If you do not vote your beliefs, then you are a loser, regardless of who wins.

You're on the wrong track. Switch before it's too late. That light you see is not the end of the tunnel you're in.

I think she gets in. At some point you’ve got to fish or cut bait and I have the sense that Sarah is ready to fish. Does it mean she gets the nomination, or the 2012 election? By no means. However it she’s going to grab the brass ring she’s got to get in there and change the dynamic and make something happen. If she stays on the sideline waiting for the planets to come into perfect alignment, they might never align.

(Guess that’s a lot of mixing of metaphors but you get the idea :) )

Sarah has played it all extremely well.

The only presidential candidate we have.

The only candidate that is by her own nature inclined to do what has to be done, regardless of who it may offend. This is the only chance the country has. All of the realistic economists have already written us off, but If anyone can pull the rabbit out of the asshats, its Sarah.

And yet you show up on every Palin thread to try to belittle her. If she’s so weak, why are you so scared of her?

Besides, some polls might leave her name off since she’s not a declared candidate yet, so maybe she’s hitting small percentages when she should be hitting no percentages at all. That’s actually a sign of strength. I don’t know that to be true, but I also don’t trust the polling companies enough to believe that they’d be fair to her at this point, since she hasn’t officially gotten into the race.

For the future, we all know that you don’t like Palin, that you don’t support her, that you’re terrified of her, so you can add some free time to your day by skipping the threads about her. Or you can continue to repeat yourself as often as you’d like, I suppose. Your choice. But henceforth I’ll be skipping past your anti-Palin comments.

And who knows, we may find common ground on another thread about a different topic.

Probably true, but give the jerk a break on that; the Busshie would have him in a pine box in a rodeo second if he deserted them now; Jeb is waiting in line you know...

This looks like we're closer together than we thought. If the day comes before the caucus that someone other than Perry is more likely to take out Obama, that is where my vote will go.

How about you?

Remember, she has an out...if no one "formidable" comes along, then I will run. Hate to break it to all you loyal Sarah fans....But once a quiter, always a quiter.

I hate to break it to you anti Palinite, Sarah has already said that all the candidates including Perry don't meet her criteria.

She has nothing to lose, and the survival of the country to gain.

Are you really that stupid, or just in the tank for one of the guaranteed losers (Romney, Perry) ?

Granny's gotta earn those disruptor Perrybucks. Plus she's pissed because “The Undefeated” dissed the GOP and was mad Governor Palin didn't make the director change it.

Your, postings, are, hard, to, read, because, the, commas, are, in, the, wrong, place. If, you, are, going, to, take, the, time, to, post, on, Freerepublic, ostensibly, it, is, because, you, want, other, people, to, read, what, you, have, to, say. If, that, is, true, then, you, should, take, care, to, use, proper, grammar. If, it, is, not, true, then, why, post, at, all?

Thank you for reminding me onyx.

The 'fundraiser', charging $35K per plate, is for a communist, marxist, sitting president who, no doubt, is applying mafia like tactics to garner donations! (may those who are succumbing to him and his tactics, that will overthrow the Nation, burn in hell forever.

As far as GB's ticket proceeds; that's wonderful, however, getting back to the original premise, no candidate throwing their hat in the ring "charges" for an appearance (of course this is IIRC..which, could possibly be wrong..(the older I get...the older old is and the memory fades). With that in mind, 09/03 doesn't seem to be a date to 'announce'.

Gov Palin is an "upfront" type of a person and generally what you see is what you get however, in the past couple of weeks that is wearing very thin, at least for me. And You know of all people that I've been one of her most ardent supporters; convincing my family to have 'patience' has been a challenge but this has gone on too long imo. This is not the 80's; the country was NOT crumbling before our very eyes during Reagan's run. This is 2011...and we have people intentionally crashing our Nation...and nobody is doing a f'ng thing about; Mark Levin...a constitutional lawyer says there is nothing we can do...WTF??

We are at the brink and we need to know who it is, out of the weak-kneed candidates so far (with exception to Gov Perry), that we will work to get elected.

If you pay attention to my posts, they concentrate on Palin’s electability. That is because my overriding desire is to defeat Obama. We need to be careful what we do. I think this will come down to a two way race between Romney and Perry. Who do you want?

You have made a very good point. I do resent the way Palin threw the Republican party under the bus. That piece of propaganda was pro-Palin and anti-Republican and to hell with the rest of the Republican party.

You're darned tootin she should have told Bannon to clean it up--it was an insult to loyal Republicans who she will need if she wants the nomination and to defeat Obama.

If Palin gets the nomination, she won't have to worry about me supporting her over Obama. I'll be the one crawling over broken glass to vote for her in spite of how she insulted me.

FR beat "The Undefeated" to it. :-)

The Republicans deserve to be dissed. And this isn't a Republican board. If Conservativegreatgrandma thinks it is she'll be disappointed.
