Meanwhile, a Libyan government spokesman warned of humanitarian disaster and a "massacre" in Tripoli as rebel forces advanced into the capital Sunday, but said forces loyal to longtime strongman Moammar Gadhafi were holding off the attacks.

Libya may be ruled by a megalomaniac, but the war is a war by European liberals to grab the oil of Libya. Since socialism has failed in Europe, they need to to get the oil from Libya. Spain and Italy have the most presence in the oil fields of Libya.

You hear that Assad?

From all current reports,it looks like Obama is about to win his war.

Overthrowing a tyrant is not a bad thing—but this tyrant was no longer a threat to us.

The Islamofascists I predict will take his place, however,WILL BE.

So Obama,in your Islamophilic ignorance, did you sow the wind?

Looks like Tripoli has fallen.

Daffi’s on the run....his sons captured, and the Presidential Guard has completely surrendered to rebel forces.

Verified via Al Jazeera.

Following it live.

the war is a war by European liberals to grab the oil of Libya. Since socialism has failed in Europe, they need to to get the oil from Libya.

Every socialist country ruins its own means of production and is ultimately reduced to foreign aid or conquest to keep the party going.

...the Presidential Guard has completely surrendered...

Are you talking about the hot all-babe personal guard Daffy has? They looked so unapproachable, and now they've completely surrendered?

Breaking: About an hour ago Mohammed, Gaddafi's oldest son has been detained by rebels and was being kept under house arrest in Tripoli.

There is another report that Gaddafi's compound has just been surrounded and he may be making a last stand.

Be careful.

Anyone can do that.

They did that in the Sahat al Sahir (Liberation) Square in Baghdad, too, when we liberated them, and then there was hell to pay for, for nearly 8 years after that.

Having said that, and not as an endorsement of this new crowd, I will say that Ronald Reagan is smiling from heaven at the news that Khaddafi has been deposed it seems. So perhaps are the US military souls from the LaBelle Disco blast in West German, and many others who were victims of Libyan terrorism.

Thanks again for the sharp eye.

And, mark my words. Obama will try to use that imagery in his reelection campaign in a TV ad (providing the whole thing does not implode between now and November 2012).
