Court Slaps Down Secrecy, Rules White House Visitor Logs Subject to FOIA

In an embarrassing defeat for the Obama administration, a federal court ruled on Wednesday that Secret Service White House visitor logs are agency records that are subject to disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act! U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell issued the decision in Judicial Watch v. Secret Service, (No. 09-2312).

Here’s the bottom line: The Obama administration will now have to release all records of all visitors to the White House – or explain why White House visits should be kept secret under law.

HMMMMMM—wonder which visitors they have been trying to hide...

Anyone want to start a list of guesses?

I’d will start with his radical preacher from Chicago—(can’t think of his name at the moment.)

Every administration does this. Every opposition party attacks the practice.

Administration asks to keep Cheney logs secret
Justice Department seeks to reverse order to reveal vice president’s visitors

WASHINGTON — The Bush administration asked an appeals court Wednesday to overrule a federal judge and allow the White House to keep secret any records of visitors to Vice President Dick Cheney's residence and office.

Not a surprise. Cheney tried the same thing & a judge didn't buy it then, either.

The lengths our "elected representatives" will go to keep their dirty-dealings secret....

Interesting. This story took almost 5 days to hit. I originally found it on Yahoo’s Singapore version of the news on the 17th. Do you think the US version gets embargoed? http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2765145/posts

It's very weird how Democrats give insight into what they are trying to hide and telegraph their telegraph their true intentions by professing the opposite.

The Clinton Administration promised it was going to be the “most ethical Administration in History” . We now know how that went.

The Obama Administration promised right from the start to be “the most transparent in history” from a President who has tried more than any else to keep his past a secret and prevent any disclosures on his activities. Even the most basic requests for public information are stonewalled and even subpoenas are ignored.

Most transparent indeed.

“”release all records of all visitors to the White House””

Sure hope that includes the ones they take off premises to meet with. If not, they’re still getting around it. Sneakier than the Clinton administrations if that’s possible!

There will be a bit of explaining to do.

I can't wait for the “thats not the Minister King Samir Shabazz and Maliak Zulu Shabazz from the New Black Panther's meeting at the White House, those are different Minister King Samir Shabazz and Maliak Zulu Shabazzs’ , I can assure you.

“Representatives of the Islamic Brotherhood and other assorted enemies of the U.S..”

Not to worry, barry’s media whores will deep-six the story, and/or demonize any pubbie with spine enough to talk about it. And, let’s not forget the trusty old race card.
