Following are excerpts from an address by Egyptian TV presenter Sayyed Ali, which aired on Mehwar TV on August 20, 2011.
Sayyed Ali: The Egypt of today is very different from the Egypt of before January 25. Egypt, the Egyptian people, the Egyptian fighters, the Egyptian spirit, and many other things are not the same as before.
This is a message directed outward, not inward. Today, if you asked 86 million Egyptians if they would be willing to fight and be martyred for the sake of their honor, not one would hesitate. If some pin their hopes on the divisions and disputes of the days of the revolution, let them know that today, Egypt in its entirety 86 million are ready to be martyred [to avenge] the blood of the Egyptian martyrs.
Israel kicked up a fuss over an insignificant soldier called Gilad Shalit. Israel invaded Lebanon, killing and humiliating people, because of another insignificant Israeli soldier.
Egyptian blood will never be cheap. That's it. Things will not be as they were before. No more negotiations, no more bargaining, no more subservience to the US, and no more of the accursed US aid, which makes the blood of 86 million Egyptian cheap.
Today, as on every Friday in Egypt, all the Egyptians took to the streets, and some of them are outside the Israeli embassy right now, demanding that this ambassador, who is defiling Egyptian soil, be expelled, and that the Israeli flag be removed and replaced by the Palestinian flag, as Iran did in the past.
Demonstrations are being waged at Al-Qaed Ibrahim Square, Alexandria, at Al-Arbain Square, and throughout the Egyptian provinces. There is extraordinary rage.
Israel and the US must know that the Egyptian people has been freed from subservience to them. There will be no compromise over Egyptian blood.
There are so many things, and I don't know what to say. I'd like to convey a message to those who hoisted the black flag [of Al-Qaeda] in Sinai two weeks ago, and [called for] the establishment of the Islamic Emirate there: They are trying to take Sinai away from us. They are following the Israeli scheme. When Herzl convened the Zionist Congress in 1798 [sic], they were saying: Next year in Jerusalem. They are working to implement their scheme. They want to transfer the Palestinians to Sinai, creating facts on the ground.

No more Billion Bucks in aid ... yeah, I wish.
Probably right...rough road ahead for the Copts.
Time to stop the $2 Billion dollars and more Uncle Stupid gives to Egypt every year.
The minute things start to get serious (especially if Israel is winning) the US & UN will pressure Israel for a ceasefire. If Israel is losing, they will be silent.

The more his middle east policy continues the more Obama appears to be the Antichrist.
He has already subdued two kings. Mubarek and Kaddafi. Looking at Syria’s Assad to make it three.
The Egyptians had a “charismatic leader” in Gamel Abdel Nasser who seized the Suez Canal, brought the Israelis down on his @ss and repeated the same scenario with much worse results in 1967. The Egyptians had a “military leader” in Anwar Sadat who led them into a fourth disastrous war in 1973 yet managed to burnish his image as a peacemaker after 1977 (he made peace because the IDF had a bullseye painted on the Aswan High Dam. No dam, no Egypt. Erased, gone.) The Egyptians had a “stability leader” with Hosni Mubarak who provided thirty years of relative peace and repression.
Who’s the Egyptians’ leader now? The Muslim Brotherhood? The military? Those two entities will ride the popular tides of resentment, Jew-hatred, and militant Islam.
And then there will be a fifth disastrous war. They’re Arabs, they’re Muslims, and they define stupidity: hoping for a different outcome while using the same failed strategy:
“We will drive the Jews into the sea!!”
OK, Achmed, bring it on. Here we go again.
Ezekiel 29:6-16
You have been a staff of reed for the people of Israel. 7 When they grasped you with their hands, you splintered and you tore open their shoulders; when they leaned on you, you broke and their backs were wrenched.[a]
8 Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will bring a sword against you and kill both man and beast. 9 Egypt will become a desolate wasteland. Then they will know that I am the LORD.
Because you said, The Nile is mine; I made it, 10 therefore I am against you and against your streams, and I will make the land of Egypt a ruin and a desolate waste from Migdol to Aswan, as far as the border of Cush.[b] 11 The foot of neither man nor beast will pass through it; no one will live there for forty years. 12 I will make the land of Egypt desolate among devastated lands, and her cities will lie desolate forty years among ruined cities. And I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries.
13 Yet this is what the Sovereign LORD says: At the end of forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the nations where they were scattered. 14 I will bring them back from captivity and return them to Upper Egypt, the land of their ancestry. There they will be a lowly kingdom. 15 It will be the lowliest of kingdoms and will never again exalt itself above the other nations. I will make it so weak that it will never again rule over the nations. 16 Egypt will no longer be a source of confidence for the people of Israel but will be a reminder of their sin in turning to her for help. Then they will know that I am the Sovereign LORD.
>>> The Egyptians had a charismatic leader in Gamel Abdel Nasser. The Egyptians had a military leader in Anwar Sadat. The Egyptians had a stability leader with Hosni Mubarak who provided thirty years of relative peace and repression. Whos the Egyptians leader now?
The answer is the same in each instance. The military. Army COLONEL Nasser, army GENERAL Sadat, air force GENERAL Mubarak, and now a council of other generals are the ultimate force. They threw dying Mubarak overboard as a sop to the mob, but nothing has actually changed.
As far as I can tell they up to now have been very skillful in sidetracking what was shaping into an actual revolution. They appear to be letting the crowd blow off decades of accumulated steam but the Egyptian army and secret police have never been shy about slaughter of their own people when the line is reached. They have four thousand years of experience in this approach.
As for this presenter, the Libyan news anchorwoman who several days ago got a lot of press for substituting her gun-waving promise to martyr herself for Kadaffi was captured alive today. In the Arab world melodramatic talk is particularly cheap.
Next year in Constantinople
Some more “inspiration”.
We’ve entered some very disturbing times, for all the outside world knows, the new leadership in Egypt might be willing to lose the Aswan Dam to a bunker buster to simply increase Arabic Unity, lower the Egyptian population, and increase the soil fertility of the Nile wheat belt again.
When Israel eventually utters those very same words to you, your lights will go out.
Isn’t that always the muzzie trump card?
“We love death more than you infidels love life!!”
But sacrifice the Aswan High Dam? Heavy, man.
