Mark Steyn argued that the United States is destined for financial collapse and a decline in its role as a world leader if current political and cultural norms continue. The author contended that American debt has placed the country in a precarious position and that regulation and lack of innovation have become hallmarks of the country's business climate.
This was the first lecture in The NHIOP Bookmark Series at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Yep..unfortunately, he speaks the facts. Doubt that many will be listening though...especially politicians.
All in the the plan. Once it happens the world will be looking out for this great leader to lead them. Game set!

Sad but true. As America’s moral structure continues to collapse, we deserve the socialism and bankruptcy we’re falling into.

After us the deluge!
Thanks for posting. Just watched it. Will have to rewatch for the snippets I had to miss. Brilliant as always. I so wish we could clone his clear thinking. I don’t know why some people can’t see the obvious. Sad because we can’t continue on this course, but when half (more than half?) of the population finally gets it, it’s going to be too late. I think Mark Steyn holds out for a little bit of hope, but I think it’s probably already too late.
FYI
Marking.
The best and brightest brought the disaster of the Vietnamese War. The “Ruling Class,” as a whole has brought about the economic disaster that seems imminent. The irony being that those of created the mess are still in power, pretty much as the fools who caused the Great War remained in power for the duration of it. Even if we get out of this, we will be as much weakened as Britain was by its “victorious Peace”in 1919.
Steyn ping.
In Steyn's case, that's a feature, not a bug. I'm always a little sad to reach the end of his articles. I was sad to reach the end of this, as well, but it was certainly worth the time.
I've already passed my copy along to some moderate friends, who are totally sold on Steyn's arguments. A buddy tonight commented that he was thinking about a lot of this stuff here and there, but he was stunned to the extent that MS has America's exact number. If you're looking for an entertaining read that will wake up people in the middle and right, and put people on the left into a twitching, apoplectic shutdown, this is a good place to start.
If you take a retired Federal Bureaucrat in her early fifties, retired on fantastic unsustainable pension benefits and health benefits and enjoying the early years of what is, in effect, a 30 year holiday weekend...she lives a 26 ELm Street, the guy at 24 Elm Street went to exactly the same school as her, but he's doest't get the 30 year holiday weekend, he's got to go to work at his hardware store every day until he drops dead to fund the lavish retirement benefits of his neighbor and a retirement that he will never know. Those two people cannot coexist in the same street any more than they can in Athens of in London
