Is not an endorsement that former Utah Gov. John Huntsman likely asked for, but his stances on the various policy dilemmas of our time has won the favor of Howard Dean.
On MSNBCs Tuesday broadcast of Morning Joe, the former Democratic National Committee chairman and Vermont governor praised Huntsman, especially as the way stacks up against other GOP contenders.
I dont mean to be catty, but this is a great line, Dean said. This is true. Jacob wrote this was the thinking mans candidate. There arent any thinking people in the Republican Party. Im serious. Name a few thoughtful policy analysts in the Republican Party not Rick Perry, not Michele Bachmann. Look at all these people. Huntsman is the real deal.

40 years. Didn't even make it 40 months.
Obama has utterly destroyed the new Democrat brand. Hillary is the last vestige of the old order, and her time is passing quickly by. Even their weak bench had a few rising stars who flared out. Spitzer. Weiner. All gone.
Who's left to take center stage against the wave of rising GOP talent? Barney Frank? Maxine Waters? John Kerry?
Yeah, that's what I though. Ain't nobody left. Obama's the last great hope of the DNC.
“The best way to have influence is to reshape the Republican Party so that it is the official party of the Tea Party Movement.”
Good luck with that. Seriously.
I have always thought
Huntsman’s best shot at The Job
Is on the Donk side.
In about 8 months, the Donks are going to start looking for somebody... anybody... to run instead of Barack Obama. Huntsman can run for the Donk nomination as the mythic “fusion” candidate. Then in the general election, he can make a play for the moderates by running against the Tea Party radicals.
Huntsman is Charlie Crist without the orange glow.
Yes. But that's because third party candidates can never get off the ground, since most voters (rightly) think that they are just helping the Dem by voting 3rd party instead of voting GOP.
We should have the instant runoff ballot, where you give your first and second choice, so you could vote for who you really want, but not throw your vote away. That's the only way third parties will ever grow. You won't hear much about it, though, because the two major parties like things just the way they are!
you can say that again...beck loves his father..
I could see Obama dumping Biden if the election outlook gets bad enough for Obama. Huntsman seems like just the sort of gimmick that Obama might try as VP to “bring the parties and the country together.” Would Huntsman go for that? I would hope not.
