What that means is we can have big earthquakes.

The Comanche will smother any earthquake with their pillows.

I felt it, a rolling sensation, my pup wasn’t happy. Never thought I’d feel an earthquake in these parts!

I increasingly admire Japan’s stoicism.

Japan gets earthquakes, tsunamis, typhoons, super-sized thunderstorms, and occasional "lake effect" snow.

They have reason to be stoic.

Hey Libertyrocks! Hope all is well with you too. ‘ican’tbelieveit’ posted this below in response to my post earlier. That’s about all I know about it.

“Largest quake in Colorado in 40 years. Have small ones from time to time.”

ROFL! I live in Fairfax, VA. (near the epicenter, I think I just heard, which was south and west of DC.) I thought it was my washing machine off balance! I’ve only been through 1 earthquake before ~ one in Montana a few years ago. I live in a 200 unit apartment building and while the shaking was going on I was thinking that I was very impressed with the builders if my washer could shake my apartment walls! lol I’m such a dingbat! I grew up in Maine. Not any earthquakes there in my memory. So, when I feel shaking the last thought that comes to mind is earthquake.

NYC my building shook. Very noticeable and rattled many nerves down here right next to Ground Zero.

Megyn Kelly finally mentioned the 2 North Anna nuclear plants (close to the epicenter). They have been shut down.

We have tornadoes AND hurricanes here in NC.

In fact, a co-worker and I were talking about Hurricane Irene when the quake hit! Fun times.

Have family from north Florida to New York, they all felt something. The ones in North Carolina said it was bad.
The family in Colorado were really shaken up yesterday. Some have left California to be away from quakes....

FOX: Washington Monument reported to be TILTING!

Big deal, the White House has been tilting to the left for over 2 and a half years.

Landlines and cells disrupted, that’s kind of weird, no? And shutting down any airports...never mind the big ones. How can they do that for a 5.8 quake?

hm
