What’s going to happen when the government sends in jackboot thugs to take the gold?
I expect war will be the answer. Middle east. Control of oil. The west will try to gain control of the oil supply in order to deal with China and emerging economies kicking our asses.
The third or fourth jackboot will take it.
Just checking.

Sounds like a recipe for the Armageddon of the Bible.
I invest in lead, brass, and carbon steel.
How would they know you have the gold if it is in jewelry and coins? If you buy from someone like Goldline is it reported to Obama?
“multiple flag” is the only way to go. I’ve parked money in Canada and Australia. Looking at Chile.
I guess they would know in the same way my computer flashes advertisements for whatever I’ve googled in the past.
Probably the only logical way to see it.
When the government thugs come to your door for guns, gold, or as is certainly possible, your food, capitulation will simply mean that you will die a hungry, poor slave at a later date.
During the depression the government considered people that wanted to keep their gold to be “hoarders”.

How bout Swiss Francs?..
Lets hope they planed ahead and ordered lots of body bags
I know a guy who paid his exit taxes and parked his money in several places. Now his “vacations” are a tax write off as he checks up on his investments.
Can’t eat gold. People have been known to eat lead, however.
Take me with you! I’ll carry your luggage...
Just kidding. I’m well prepped to weather this storm.
I say, BRING IT! The sooner we burn this Mother to the ground the sooner we can rebuild as our Founding Fathers envisioned. :)
Yeah, but instead it’s just going to be another in a long history of bloody messes.
Back when I was considering buying gold, the salesmen would always try to convince me to buy “unconfiscatable” collectable gold coins. My answer always was that I’m an old fart and they will not confiscate any gold I had in my lifetime ... nor that of the first one or two people that tried to do it.
A few weeks ago I posted an article that stated the four safest currencies were: (in no particular order)
* Swiss
* Singapore
* Norway
* Canada
I looked back at the article a couple days later and Norway had been changed to Chile.
