When I wrote about an objectionable spread of photographs in Paris Vogue – a spread that featured 10-year-old fashion model Thylane Blondeau styled in provocative ways — I fretted that such a magazine feature might, in some way, normalize the concept of sexual attraction to minors:
"It’s often said, but bears repeating, that the TV, magazine and advertising images we absorb train our minds as to what is considered attractive — and, yes, specifically sexually attractive — in our culture. So, what does a magazine feature like this say? That it’s OK, even encouraged, to look at a child in a sexual way."
…Last week, the group hosted a scientific symposium to discuss a proposed new definition of pedophilia in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) of the American Psychiatric Association. Presenters expressed a wide range of views — but the thrust of the B4U-Act movement appears to be, ultimately, to decriminalize pedophilia.

Psychiatry itself attracts a lot of freaks. 90% of psychiatrists I have met are seriously strange themselves. Perhaps they entered the field to tangle with the snakes in their own heads.

If pedophilia is not a crime, being in this country illegally is not a crime, murdering your children is not a crime, using illegal drugs is not a crime, let’s decriminalize everything that way the prisons will be empty and the US will be able to get out of debt.
Notice my lower post....I corrected it to Greece, although pederasty was common in all cultures and it was Judeo/Christian ethics which made it “sin” and thus evil. Middle East never did, nor did the East and Africa unless influenced by the Western culture—they still practice pederasty and homosexuality and pederasty in the Middle East—although they would never dignify it with “marriage”—even they know how utterly stupid.

Pederasty of course was dominate and the scandal was when these young men turned to other young men and dumped the old ones.

Wow! Words fail me. How in the freakin’ world can any doctor suggest sexually abusing children will promote ‘’tolerance’’? Forget the “Lolita’’ fantasy’’, children are simply not physically and emotionally equipped to participate in or understand this most adult and complex experience. These doctors should be strung up.
Use them all for sword practice and put their heads on pointed sticks.

Pedophilia was more common in ancient Greece but it was not widely approved of even there. There are jokes in some plays making fun of the guys who do it.
Alcibiades makes it plain that Socrates never made any advances toward him even tho they often slept in the same bed.
Aristophanes really hits them hard in some of his plays.
It probably exists but I have never read anything from ancient Greece approving of it.

This is Madness! I can take a lot but I can’t stands no more! You give these people an inch and they think their a ruler. The line must be drawn someplace—OK for Gays marriage, OK for Polygamy—BUT NO, Never, nohow, to this pedophilia thing. Have we slipped this far? Have we fallen this far out of the loop? We got to get back on track and put perverts in their place.
My personal opinion is that there are relatively few pedophiles out there compared to the actual high number of predatory queers. This is nothing more than trying to acquire cover using language (i.e., challenged versus crippled, challenged versus idiot, etc). 99% of the priests charged with molesting children were predatory queers attacking little boys. They are trying to use the mantel of pedophile to mislead and fool the general public with a scientific distraction.
This is the reason for the push for same sex "marriage" and homosexuals serving in the military.
If I had a nickle for each time that I have read or heard, "Their homosexual marriage is no threat to my hetrosexual marriage", my money problems would be over. But, in a sense, they are correct, because two likes cannot be joined in holy matrimony.But once it becomes socially acceptable, the participants can be threats ti your children or grandchildren.
If you want a good indication of the usefulness of psychiatrists, look at their children. These offspring are, by far, some of the most neurotic and dysfunctional people on earth.
Attitudes towards homosexuality and what we would call (inaccurately) pedophilia in ancient Greece are complex and probably poorly understood today. They certainly don’t fit at all into the “homosexuality” or “pedophilia” of today. They also almost certainly varied over time and by city.
The most telling feature, to me, is the Greek ideal of beauty. Today, if you walk down the rack in a magazine stand, the covers are almost entirely of women, and young women meeting a particular standard. They outnumber men on the covers by something like 10:1. Even, perhaps especially, on women’s magazines. That’s because this is our society’s ideal of beauty. The models are often anonymous, presented not as individual humans, but as a symbol of the ideal.
If the Greeks had a newstand, the covers would have been something like 15:1 of boys or young men, not of women. That was their ideal of beauty.
Oddly enough, the common perception among American conservatives that Greece deteriorated and fell because of their practice of homosexuality appears to unfortunately be backwards. The period when pederasty was most dominant appears to correlate quite closely to the military and cultural pinnacle of classical Greece.
During Hellenistic times, when tyrants rather than democrats ruled, women as an ideal of beauty and sexuality made a bit comeback.
During the height of Greek civilization, Pericles, the Parthenon and all that, pederasty seems to have been in some ways the central institution of the society. AFAIK, it has never achieved anything like the same status in any other society.
