Blah,Blah Blah.
Why not answer the Question?
Pena introduced a bill in March to import “guest” workers from Mexico.
Pena is a big supporter of “immigration reform”.
Pena and his bill are backed by known amnesty groups?
So why does he love Perry so much?
Because Perry is for amnesty too!
Thanks for posting yet another article proving that Perry is for amnesty and God forbid he’s elected he will give us just that.

In my experience the hispanics to whom you are referring are no more pleased with the squatters, that many of the rest of us.M/i>You speak the truth my friend, actually most of them are less tolerant of illegals than non Hispanics. That is a little known fact everywhere but here in the border states.

Don't you know? ALL Hispanics are illegals to many of the losers who post on this forum.
The sentiments of many on this forum and their hatred of Perry are simply a reflection of that irrational belief. If you confront them on it, they will deny it, but in their hearts, that's what they are thinking--you can read it in their attacks.
I applaud the successes of American citizens of Hispanic descent and their progress in our system do to individual initiative and industry--GOOD ON 'EM.
Now, that being said, I do have a problem with the Texas Dream Act and I have a problem with Perry's resistance to building a fence to stop illegal crossings.
Unfortunately, Perry is too focused on the criminal problems associated with the border and not enough on the stream of illegals and the impact that their presence has on our infra-structure and services. I'm glad that he is pushing real hard on fighting border crime--it's bad and it needs resources dedicated to it--but the strain illegals place on our schools and our healthcare system cannot be underestimated.
I also have a real problem with both the flawed theory behind and the implementation of bilingualism in our society. I have a tax-funded grammar school less than a mile from my house in which Spanish is the spoken language and non-Spanish speaking children are forced to find other resources or suffer from that very real discrimination. This is inexcusable and intolerable.
Bilingual education has not proven to have been successful in integrating Hispanics into our society, in fact it has proven just the opposite alleviating any need for or desire of non-English speaking Hispanics to acculturate.
This is America. Our national language is American English, and the "melting pot" cannot function as it has for 200 years if people are not forced to learn English in order to function in our society.
I still support Perry because this is only a single issue in which I find weakness, but I will not gloss over it entirely and will continue to make my objections known.
I support Perry IN SPITE OF this glaring flaw. American citizens of Hispanic descent should be leading the fight against illegal immigration, not defending it.

Well, the Hazleton, PA mayor who did the big crackdown on illegals is a congressman now, so I guess maybe cracking down instead of pandering actually works...in some places.

Nine times more employed than what?Than in states that don't have jobs. Texas has had 10 months of increased job numbers (30,000 just in July).
BTW it's the social engineering give-a-ways passed in this country that had drawn people across the border. A conservative ascendancy and a secure border is what the country needs.
Texas has jobs and schools and wants a secure border. As I stated in my first post, Texas is dealing with what we have, not just rotting away like so many other states are.

Because Perry is for amnesty too!You speak beacoup bull shitte! If you lived in Texas you would understand how your rant is completely baseless!....and no I'm not going to argue with you...much like wrestling a pig, all one does is get dirty and the pig likes it....such is it with FReepers who post insane lies and innuendo's

Tell that to Sarah Palin.
Why isn’t she ranting and raving from her twitter account about the horrors of Rick Perry?
She has an obligation, does she not, to attack Rick Perry as you attack him?
If not, why not?
And since she doesn’t, why do you support her for President while at the same time attacking us?
One more thing: where did you get the idea that someone elected President can do whatever they please with no thought to the people and their elected reps? Even if he wanted to, that wouldn’t realistically occur just because he was elected President. Perhaps Obama’s dictatorial tendencies have confused you into thinking that, but Rick Perry is no Obama.
What happened when he tried something unpopular with Texans? He was forced to bow to the will of the people.
Obama loves to govern against our will. He doesn’t care, since he’s a regular Hugo Chavez.

CW, how could you possibly think this is a good thing or that it would be fovorable to Rick Perry? I don’t want to have to press 1 for English when I call a public office. I don’t want to be REQUIRED to speak spanish in order to gain a new client. I don’t want my change in pesos. I don’t want any of that crap. Why would you think that anyone EXCEPT hispanics would consider this favorable?

You go, girl. Doing a wonderful job of laying out the facts as an honest Texan and I'm proud to agree with you right down the line. Excellent points you are making and backing up with reality, not silly conjecture.
You're nailing it!

Perry is an open border Globalist that has the same immigration and border policy as Barry Soetoro.

Try not to let your inability to deal with facts cause you to fly into a blind rage.
It’s unbecoming and no doubt bad for your health.
Deep breath and count to ten.
Then repeat the mantra:
Perry wants amnesty
Perry wants amnesty

BECAUSE hes NOT good for Americans.. only marginally better than Romney.. Rick Perry is essentially equivalent to Mitt Romney and Barrack Obama.
Vote for him only if you are an establishment Republican in favor of politics as usual and business as usual.

Yes, CW is a tireless DEFENDER of Perry’s betrayals of conservative principles.
Not minimizing them, actually *defending* them!
Quite a thing to behold.

Maybe if we can deport the 37.6% of Texas's population that is Hispanic, and the 11.8% of the population that is African...
