On Friday's Early Show, CBS somehow thought it was appropriate to bring on former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin to offer "lessons learned from other hurricanes," as Hurricane Irene bore down on the East Coast. Anchor Chris Wragge not only failed to ask Nagin about his failures in leadership in the lead-up to Hurricane Katrina, but also twice labeled his guest an "expert in the field".
Amazing isn’t it?
The disinformation and ludicrous spin continue on unabated
by reality and common sense.
Everyone is put on God’s Green Earth for a reason....even if the reason is to be used as a bad example.
Nagin. Nagin. Nagin.....
Name sounds familiar.
Wasn’t he GM’s Bus Salesman of the Year in 2005?
Next - the networks will hire Looter Guy as a natural disaster security expert
About the only thing they missed doing was having idiot Rat ex-governor Blanco up there as assistant *expert*.
Dang! You beat me to it.
They need to ask him what he recommends they do with their school buses.
nagin is a racist, incompetent and a fool..
He’s Black so...just pretend.
Well, hindsight IS 20/20!
He proved school buses won’t float.
CBS owes me a new keyboard, just from the headline...
LOL!
LOL! I a huge Sox fan.. I hated to take it there... but I could not resist.
nagin, the New Orleans Mayor. He left NOLA for Baton Rouge.
During the aftermath, he was sitting in a high dollar hotel room watching his city on the tv in the ac with plenty of creature comforts. Meanwhile, Governor blanco sat on her hands and blamed all their problems on George Bush.
The dims have sucessfully politicized hurricanes. If you are in a state with dim leaders and a repub in the white house, you are screwed. If you are in a state with dim leaders and a dim president, help is on the way mucho pronto.
The US govt is forbidden by law to act until the governer of the state formally requests assistance. After Hurricane Andrew in ‘92 Gov. Chiles of Florida was contacted before the storm’s landfall by then President George HW Bush. Chiles ignored him. Chiles let a week go by after the storm before he formally requested federal assistance. Meanwhile the dimocrat media bashed Bush for his “indifference” for all the poor suffering people of Homestead Florida. After 5 days of the Party’s media showing Bush on his boat in Maine and the Floridians suffering did Chiles request the help. So a Dimrat governer let his states people suffer in order to score political points. The dims put Bush in a position where he either had to break federal law and face an onslaught of lawsuits or sit and wait on Chiles to ask for the help.
That turned out to be one of the weapons the party and their media used to defeat Bush.
Then they used the same tactic with Katrina. You would think that Bush the junior would have learned the lesson from his dad’s experience.
She sat on her hands, because that's what DNC Headquarters told her to do.
