The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 23% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -17

At one point this past week or two, Hussein was at -26.
I’ll bet that is because he is moving all of the disaster FEMA money from the red states that suffered unimaginable damage from tornados to the blue states along the coast that were “devasted”/s by this monstrous hurricane./s again.
Personally taking charge of Irene seems to have helped. And cutting the expensive vacation by a day must have raised him up.
BO “personally taking charge” sounds to me more like BO jumping in front of a parade. Does anyone believe this guy has ANY management skills other than maybe organizing a photo op?
Scott should start revealing the demographics he polls, by percentage.
If the majority of calls are made to urban areas, we WILL see a jump in the polls. It is only natural.
Obama and the democrats don’t have enough money to ‘move around’ anymore. They have not requested enough for FEMA disaster relief since they came into office in 2006. The word is going to get out and then his numbers are going to sink like a stone. It’s all smoke and mirrors with this guy. Yet he can spend trillions of dollars bailing out Wall Street and the libtards don’t say a word. Go figure.

Puh-lease!!!! Maybe "With the help of a complicit media, Obama has tried to craft an appearance of personally taking charge of Irene..."
What did he do to help? Did he deliver particularly-threatening teleprompter speech? Tell Irene to eat her peas and pay her 'fair share'?
Please pass the throw-up pot...
Could be a touch of that rally-behind-our-leader-during-a-crisis feeling.
I hope it will pass as quickly and relatively harmlessly as Irene.
He takes charge of nothing. More like: creating the illusion of taking charge of Irene.
Forgive me for not including the “/s” tag! That was all meant to be cynical and point out what a worthless bag of publicity seeking sleeze he is.
His approvals should have tanked after that stunt.
Those driven into hysterical panic are easy to manipulate and readily follow false leaders.
He was out of the news, and we are all focused on the massive dangerous Irene. No worries, he will be back to over 25 soon.
... and what's not to admire about such a courageous, stalwart, take-charge Wee Wee?
Probably because he was on vacation and people forgot how awfully incompetent he is.
Wasn’t really criticizing your original comment. This is basically my statement about the inevitable effort that’s going to be made to boost Obama because of his “excellent handling” of this over-hyped non-event.
We all knew it was coming, no matter what happened with Irene and how incompetent he appears to people whose heads are regularly exposed to daylight...
Cheers,
DJ Frisat
