President Downgrade cut his vacation short to make an appearance at the Hurricane Command Center for a few pictures yesterday.

Apparently, not everyone was impressed with this obvious publicity stunt. Here is a sampling of the comments from the Yahoo report:

I don’t know about that, but it is very frustrating that all we can do is scream and yell about what he does but there is absolutely nothing anyone can do about it but sit and wait until his term expires. I seriously wonder if he was clearly caught on videotape robbing a 7-11 would we even then be able to get rid of this guy as president. I really doubt it.

Good call on 0’s Command center photo and caption.

I think 0 looks like one of the crew one always sees in the background during a PBS fundraiser shakedown telethon.

Desperately waiting for one of the many eerily quiet phones to ring!

Jack.

I tell you, everyone from the non-east-coast of America turned the TV off this weekend. We are sick of Obama, we are sick of the MSM, and we are sick of the Obama sycophants. Good luck to you guys that live back there, but where were you when Louisiana had their oil spill, Texas had their fires, and the midwest had their tornadoes and floods? I remember those parts of the country pretty much got ignored by Obama.

Imagine the lead-time they needed to make the nameplate for Emperor Zero. That must be why he didn’t leave Martha’s Vinyard until he did.

...does anyone remember the one a few years back that was barreling north in the Gulf as a strong 4 and then diminished to a 1 or 2 right before landfall?

Was that Hurricane Ike? It came straight up through Texas and veered east of the DFW metroplex. Dumped massive amounts of water and kicked up a lot of wind around here, but didn't cause any real damage that I can recall.

I seem to recall that Ike hit other parts of Texas much harder. This was after Katrina and Rita.

Dang it. My memory’s slipping. Galveston got walloped hard by Ike. Houston too.

Once again, Barry is the least experienced, least knowledgeable, and least likely person to be the leader in any particular meeting he attends on any topic you can name.

No I think it was a lady name and it was traveling due north to the Panhandle and Alabama. I’ll have to search. We were all amazed, and thankful even though we weren’t in the path of that one.

Ike was pretty bad. Do you realize that Irene was a name previously used in 2005. The year of Katrina, Rita and I think Wilma too.
