Federal judge blocks Ala. illegal immigration law
AP ^ | August 29, 2011

A federal judge temporarily blocked enforcement of Alabama's new law cracking down on illegal immigration, ruling Monday that she needed more time to decide whether the law opposed by the Obama administration, church leaders and immigrant-rights groups is constitutional.

The brief order by U.S. District Judge Sharon L. Blackburn means the law won't take effect as scheduled on Thursday. The ruling was cheered by opponents who have compared the law to old Jim Crow-era statutes against racial integration.

But Blackburn didn't address whether the law is constitutional, and she could still let all or parts of the law take effect later. The judge said she will issue a longer ruling by Sept. 28.

We need to start a letter writing campaign to our local AL newspapers showing our support for this law!

Duh, the aliens are trespassing, breaking existing laws, taking jobs from legal US citizens.

BTW, is the judge a legal citizen?

Oh, I think we all know what to expect from her. She wouldn’t have done this without knowing what she’s going to ultimately rule.

She already knows where she wants to go with it, but she wants to do the research to justify her ruling.

It never ceases to astound and dismay me that there are those who are as adept at tirelessly working to destroy this nation as those who worked tirelessly at building at.

Think La Raza will remember this judge when they have taken over completely?

Anyone wonder where they are going to be able to live when the Great Sundering occurs?

I will not write to the Hard-left USAToday Gannet rag the Montgomery Advertiser, as they are so screwed up they would not print it.

I will post it on their discussion boards, which probably has more posters than the newspapers actually has subscribers!

At what point is the federal judiciary deemed illegitimate by most normal people and state officials start ignoring the rulings? No point having elections, voting, passing laws, etc. if a communist ideologue will simply strike everything down that doesn’t suit her tastes.

It happens almost every single time on every single social issue. State X passes Law Y and Judge Z does some intellectual somersaults to make it “unconstitutional”. Fill in the blanks with pretty much any state and any issue, gay ‘marriage’, abortion, immigration etc.

Laugh all you want at California, but in less than 20 years, all the states will be exactly like California.

This is pretty pro forma. There’s no ruling on the actual constitutionality and it will have a long way to go either way but it’s not an actual decision.

Of course from hearing the reports on it you’d think it was a Supreme Court decision!! LOL!

We all pretty much knew this would happen. The question now is whether an appeal will be launched against this abominable decision.

Church ‘leaders’ who oppose this law are duplicitous. Do they preach the 10 Commandments? Or do they tell their parishioners to go out and break into other people’s homes with impunity? Do they tell their parishioners that it’s okay, not only to covet their neighbors goods, but to take them by any means possible? Do they tell their parishioners that it’s okay to murder other people because they’re trying to enforce the laws of the land that these people have entered unlawfully?

There is a difference between CHARITY which should be given to all, and OBEDIENCE TO THE LAWS OF THE LAND, which should be followed by all.

It angers me beyond comprehension that people would advocate for laws to be broken instead of being followed.

As I’ve said in the past ... IF the USofA did not have a lawful means of entering this Nation, there “might” be a case for defending SOME illegal entrants ... but we do, so there’s not.

LOOK AT KENYA AND THE SOMALIS FOR AN EXAMPLE. If people want to enter the USofA, put them in ‘tent cities’ with guards and guard dogs and machine guns on the perimeter until they decide they’re ready to return ‘home.’

The USofA is NOT ‘home’ to the World ... and never was intended to be so.

I can almost understand where a simple law may be declared unconstitutional, but what about prop.8 in CA which was an amemdment to the state constitution. How did they rule that their OWN constitution was “unconstitutional”?

When will a state or a governor stop throwing up their hands and saying, “well, we tried” and start saying, “We ARE going to enforce the laws of this state and the United States”?

I wonder when we will get a judge that actually rules against illegal aliens for once.

Never...nor politicians either...not going to happen ever. Some will talk the talk...none will walk it. It's not about America...it's about running political races and the races that take them where the politicians and elites want to go. We are simply the spectators who pay their way.

According to liberals, citizens can be FORCED to provide food, housing, medical treatment and schooling to any alien that that manages to illegally sneak into the country.

When amnesty does get passed, I’m predicting some form of it will get made official, there’s going to be...Chaos. Huge turnout for Rat candidates, more illegals flooding in, the country will be lost completely. There might even be a little war.

If that is the case in less than 15 years there will be NO United States...I hope you all have visas to emigrate to the Republic of Texas or the New Confederacy as WE WILL keep a very close eye on our borders and immigration...
