I don’t remember the wording “across the border” being used in connection with the warrantless wire tap issue.

Most of the media would never point that out and of course Ron Paul followers never would as well but that was the issue. The original stories covered it, conservatives such as NROs Victor Davis Hanson covered it but the left-wing MSM continaully would characterize it as being about US citizens.

Even the FISA court ruled that the Commander-in-Chief had the power granted to intercept communications deemed as possibly enemy comminications coming across the border. Because that was the issue and not spying on American citizens as reports to disorted the issue to seem like.
