On September 17th, activists across the United States are planning on meeting on Wall Street and a couple of other locations across the United States to protest against capitalism. On the surface, the event seems like a grass-roots gathering of liberal protesters from across the United States. On the US Day of Rage web site, organizers list partners such as "European Revolution" and "Take the Square" which don't seem to have billionaire backers behind them. If you do a little digging, you will find that the Tides Foundation is an indirect supporter of this event.

Gore Calls for American Arab Spring
Former Vice-President Al Gore says he takes encouragement from the so-called Arab Spring protests against tyranny that have sprung up in the Muslim countries of the Middle East.
If young people can stand up against a government that shoots them down in the street, then I think theres hope that the young people of America can rally against the oppressive and incompetent Obama Regime here, Gore surmised. I dont believe that President Obama would dare call on troops to fire on American protestors. But even if he did the American people might finally get the message that they made a big mistake in 2008. I thought Bush was bad, but Obama is a total disaster from virtually every perspective.

The United Auto Workers said labor unions were central to the protests in Tunisia, and Egyptian Labor gave the decisive push in driving Egypts president Hosni Mubarak from office. UAW made the claims in the union magazine Solidarity*. UAW is pushing for global organization of workers as part of an international social justice plan to address globalization. Unions are essential for social justice, said the magazine. UAW also claims unions spurred the creation of a middle class in the United States and world organization is now the goal. The UAW must act in solidarity with all unions around the world...
And the elephant in the room is - GEORGE SOROS - who lends his trillions of funds to this organization.
And .. what many people don’t know - the Tides Foundation is also funded by TERESA HEINZ-KERRY. And .. it was this same foundation that supported some of the 9/11 families in their law suit against the govt. - only because the govt at the time just happened to be repubs.
Tides foundation - NPR supporter aren’t they?
