Do you not understand a chain of command? I know you didn’t have military service but anybody on this site should understand it. Sometimes I wish you would have had at least one day of service. It would have given you a better understanding of how government works. It is a pity but I just take your nonsense as ignorance. Do you receive government assistance for that?

I served in the USAF. So, sorry. Another FAIL for you.

And read the Constitution. The Executive and Legislative are EQUAL branches of the government.

Get thee to Civics 101.

"...chain of command..."?

Since when do members of Congress take "orders" from the pResident or "submit" to his demands?

Answer, they don't. The Executive Branch doesn't get to "order" the Legislative Branch to be somewhere or do something.

The President has no power over Congress.

Obama is the CiC of the military. Last time I checked, the House & Senate weren’t part of our armed forces.

Should've included this in my response...

Article 2, Section 3 of the Constitution states that;

He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers; he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of the United States.

Although I don't believe his political grandstanding at this point qualifies as an "extraordinary occasion". He can simply "...recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient."

Here’s another one who thinks your way off base. Yeah we gotta follow our superiors’ orders in the military but Congress isn’t the military. They are on an equal level as the executive. If anything, Congress should be the dominant branch. He’s not king and they’re not parliament.
