The Left is Petrified of Rick Perry

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Powell, Wyoming. Mike, thank you for calling, sir. Great to have you on the Rush Limbaugh program. Hello.

CALLER: Hey, black-and-gold dittos, Rush!

RUSH: Thank you, sir.

CALLER: I just wondered where George Stephanopoulos' sudden love of Mitt Romney last night on his program portrayed Perry as evil, and he loves Mitt Romney now; and you were saying with Rick Perry's first, you know, being on the panel for the debates, I just wonder, you know: Is this all coordinated, or are they laughing, or is it true coordination? Are they really gonna try and prop up Romney just because Rick Perry is scaring 'em so bad, or...? I just wanted to get your feelings on that.

RUSH: They're scared of Perry. They are scared to death of Perry. They're petrified of Perry. They'll always tell us who they fear. They're not worried about Romney. They think they can beat Romney. They also think that they can scare Romney into being a little bit more compliant and less combative with Obama. I don't think they think that about Perry. I think they are very much concerned about Perry, just as they are very much concerned about Sarah Palin. That's what they're telling us here. ....

Dear noob troll;

You might want to get some time under your belt before you join a conservative forum and start bashing conservative politicians. I am no old timer, but I’ve been here long enough to see noob trolls ride the lightening pdq when they were less than, shall we say....thoughtful.

Yours,

Grunthor

Ricardo Perry age 22

I remember the last cheerleader/pilot that Rush endorsed for President. The one he said he carried water for. We all know what a staunch a conservative that guy turned out to be.

You might want to post and ping this one. This was a great piece from an unlikely place...ESPN. It was on Real Clear Politics.

It’s fascinating and talks about Perry’s brilliant campaign support team. They do things alittle different and are not afraid to try things that actually work. As opposed to failed stuff that doesn’t work and only enrich special interest groups.

Very good read. Despite the money and the machine behind his opponent, Perry trounced Kay Bailey Hutchinson by 20 some points. Quite enough said.

I hear he can’t debate, doesn’t like to. I don’t care if he has a silver tongue, or not, I like what he says and 97% of what he does. I remain all in, all the way. Put Rubio on the ticket and we have us the WH in a walk.

If I were you I wouldn't be calling an Aggie Yell Leader, a cheerleader. Those are fightin' words!

Aggie YELL leaders use hand signals and have 80,000 people in the stands yelling the same thing.

I'm not an Aggie but it is very interesting to watch. The yells were old when Perry was there and haven't changed.

Well .. Rasmussen is okay in my book.

My concern was your comment that “ALL” women hate her .. which is blatently not true .. and I’ve never seen any report by Rasmussen which states that - so you got that data from somewere else.

And .. Rasmussen rarely rates people by the “hate” factor - it’s usually by the “vote” factor.

Let’s say Perry gets the nomination. He then declares his running mate as Rubio. Question: does the Left attack Rubio’s eligibility....i.e., do they suddenly become “birthers” [again]?

Perry has a resume and Obama has a teleprompter. Perry is straight forward and says what he means and means what he says. I am from TX and have voted for him in one capacity or another for several elections and will again this time. Liberals are afraid or they would not be attacking him (including Obama)on all the conservative web sites and in media. I would rather have a plain spoken man as GOP candidate rather than a flowery spoken man like Obama who really says nothing.

I believe you would have to PAY Palin to get in, now. For all her energy she can’t budge those negatives with a fork lift. So what she is doing, I’m sure I don’t know, and feel somewhat liberated that I no longer care whether she is in, or out, or where she “vacations”. Rick is in and things are fun again. And drama free. :)

“Women despise her.”

My exact quote. The word “All” does not appear. Given the breakdown of the numbers, I think my words were acceptable.

I believe that Rasmussen, of all the polling outfits is the most accurate. If those numbers do not change for Palin, she won’t lose the general because she’ll never win the primary. I wish it were not the case but it simply is. One can war against the facts all one wants to but in the end, the facts remain.

Eventually even Sarah (if she hasn’t already) will notice her numbers are in the toilet and will announce that she is not running. I would hope that she will be considered for a VP slot or at least a position in the next Republican cabinet.

My pointing out that Palin polls horribly against Obama does not display disrespect of the woman whatsoever, it simply acknowledges a reality that some of her more zealous fans will unfortunately never face.

That is an excellent question. Probably they will use the kitchen sink against Rubio, because of the minority vote he’s got and they want. Actually Perry to a large extent can get that vote also, apart from Rubio. The Obama campaign will have to put up some neutral party to bird dog that particular track to use as a line of attack. BTW, can you imagine the VP debate between Biden and Marc Rubio? What FUN that would be! If Perry is said to be a weaker debater and hates to debate, Rubio could REALLY fill a gap there for him.

True, but when you leave off the classificaton of the women, it assumes you’re saying “all women” .. so it’s better to clarify which group of women you’re talking about.

You don’t have to agree with me .. I don’t require that. I just want to be able to make my statements without it being assumed I’m stupid because I’m not in agreement with you.

I don’t switch back and forth between Perry and Palin. My candidate is Palin - and if she doesn’t run - I will support Perry .. but I’m still rooting for Palin.

That's a perfectly understandable position and I wholeheartedly agree with you, even though my sympathies run the other way: I prefer Perry, but if Palin gets the nomination for the general election, I will vote for her and will do what I can to convince others to do likewise.

They’ll do that... AND insinuate that a “dirty” Hispanic isn’t fit to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency.

For we all know that racism is okay, but only when it comes from the left.

The everyday leftists might be afraid of Perry. But I would guess the high level Soros types prefer him to Palin.

Because they’re the ones who know they can get to Perry when they really need to, but Palin will fight them tooth and claw to the end.

It really got to me when Rush came out for Perry a few months ago, he’s always said he would never do that.

Something just wasn’t right about it.

I respect your views, and even your opinion, if I do not share it. I have not seen a breakdown of different groups of women vis a vis Palin support, but we already know that liberal women will not support her, clearly her numbers will be slightly better with independant women, but given her numbers with indies as a whole, not that much better. I believe that conservative women will support her but they cannot make up for the other two catagories.
