Multiculturalism: The Slow Suicide of Planned Destruction
The New American ^ | Thursday, 25 August 2011 | Selwyn Duke

It is 1991, and Yugoslavia, born of the ashes of WWI, is starting to break up. It is a violent affair that will be long, painful, bloody, and complex. Numerous wars in the multi-ethnic region will be fought, with Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia declaring independence from Serb-dominated Yugoslavia and, in turn, Serb minorities seeking independence from the last two regions. Slovenes, Croats, Bosnians (virtually all Muslim), and Albanians (largely Muslim) will battle Serbs. Croats and Bosnians will unite to battle them — then fight each other as well — then unite again; and Albanians will take up the sword against Macedonians. Muslims will burn churches, and minority populations will be purged from many of these regions. They are the first conflicts since WWII to be formerly deemed genocidal, and these wars will introduce English-speakers to a new term: ethnic cleansing.

...Unlike in Teddy Roosevelt’s America, there today is insufficient will to countervail this desire. The modern West is now like a man whose belief in himself and sense of purpose are so shattered that he has begun to think the world would be better off without him. It is a civilization that has gone from proud to prostrate, transitioning from the proposition that it is wrong to impose your ways on others in their lands to the proposition that it is wrong to impose your ways on others in your land. And this belief has a name: multiculturalism.

Multiculturalists say that the proverbial American melting pot must be replaced by the “salad bowl,” the idea that culturally dissimilar ingredients can co-exist and complement each other. According to them, “diversity” isn’t a problem to be overcome but a strength to be celebrated — and intensified through programs such as ethnic studies.

Multi-culturalism is a corollary of moral relativity, which is nothing more than moral anarchy.

It is the result of denying GOD. If man denies the existence of GOD, man also denies the existence of GOD given rights and our moral compass loses its true north setting.

You should read the piece. The author says just that. He says at the end that multiculturalism is a corollary of moral relativism.

Wow, sometimes, I’m smarter than I think that I am. I will have to read the rest of the piece.

I’ve been thinking about multi-culturalism a lot lately because we had a shooting by a teen-age Mexican gang member at our local NW WA state fair. Three people were shot (one was a by-stander, buying ice cream for his daughter) and another was stabbed.

The reaction to the shooting was interesting because out of the crowd of people, only one man had the guts to chase down the shooter and call the attention of the police officers who tackled him. All the rest of the men just took cover and were part of the screaming, panicked crowd.

Gang violence is the result of moral anarchy as well. There is no controlling authority for those who believe there is no GOD. Gang violence is not a law enforcement issue, it’s a cultural or societal issue. The police cannot prevent gang violence or membership, all the police can do is clean up after the fact.

“there today is insufficient will to countervail this desire”

— and less every day. Doesn’t matter how many guns we have, if we’re not going to fire them unless they aim one at our very own heads. And why should they? They can just send an official letter.

Really good essay. From a theological viewpoint, God is all too familiar with the sinful capacity of man. In Daniel's interpretion of the dream of the Babylonian king, we find the prophecy of the remaining gentile powers that would rule the world: Dan 2:43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. We humans do not naturally cleave to one another. Not even Americans. We have, however, cleaved together during the most trying of times: but only under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. And that is the rub. Absent Christ, the human race cannot and will not move with unity of purpose on equal footing. Even our Civil War teaches us that: we are evil absent the application of God's Word in our lives. Not religion. God's Word.

One of many problems that irks me is that we are supposed to celebrate 'diversity' while pretending that there are no differences.
We can't even talk about it, therefore we can't have an honest discussion about introducing foreign elements into our society.
What's good, what's bad, what works and what doesn't?
What could be added, what should be kept out?
It's not like adding a dish to the menu.
It's about new customs, changing our way of life and even new laws introduced without scrutiny.
I want to have a say about that. I want to be able to say NO.
First of all, PC has to go.

“All the rest of the men just took cover and were part of the screaming, panicked crowd.”

They were boy's, not men. Our society produces irresponsible, naive, little and self interested boys, not men. These little boys will tell you about their feelings though. I bet on their facebook pages they will have all sorts of entries about this incident...

Show me multiculturalism/diversity?

In our cities? In Israel? In India/Pakistan? In the South Africa, Uganda, Rwanda, Liberia, the Balkans, Cyprus, Lebanon? Someone please show me this so called Utopian society where John Lenin plays in the background and all the people live in perfect harmony without God and religion. Maybe it existed in Rome? With the Aztecs? Even in France or Switzerland there is no multiculturalism that works. The key words are “works” in the sense of social/economic/security stability, where there is “justice and equality” and this is “long term.”

Multiculturalism is an academic exercise, another foolish idea that feels and sounds good and where if one says anything negative you're branded as an evil person. Multiculturalism is like Communism, it's another “ism” that works in academia but denies the reality of human nature and economics, but because it feels and sounds good at least on face value gets traction among those that feel with their heart, rather than think with their mind.

Long term, so called multiculturalism never has nor does it exist. It's a temporary phenomena that is only possible in a Western style liberal society that protects and values all equally, even those that given power would not extend this inclusive and egalitarian view to others. Show me multiculturalism today in ANY Muslim nation: Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Libya, Lebanon, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia... Even the most liberal of these societies like Turkey and Qatar are culturally repressive to others and do NOT extend the same rights and liberties to all their citizens equally.

You can have diversity between races, national origins and many other facets, but not along cultural lines that preach mutually exclusive value systems.
