James Carville: W.H. 'out of bounds' on jobs speech

Democratic strategist James Carville on Thursday called the White House “out of bounds” for requesting that the president address Congress during the same night as next week’s Republican presidential debate.

“I do think this is a really big debate and I think the White House was out of bounds…in trying to schedule a speech during a debate,” Carville said on “Good Morning America”.

The president originally asked to present his jobs plan on the evening of Sept. 7, the same night and time as the Republican presidential debate hosted by NBC and POLITICO. The scheduling broke down into a partisan showdown, with the president ultimately agreeing to speak instead on Sept. 8.

Carville said the debate, the first to feature Texas Gov. Rick Perry, will be a “barn burner.”

IMO this stems from the BP disaster. Carville at his core is a Louisianan and was clearly most unhappy with the Obama admin mangling of that fiasco. Ever since Carville has been ripping Obama at every opportunity.
