The report said multilingual undercover NYPD police officers known as the 'rakers' would secretly monitor the Muslims living in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. They would detect the places where Muslims socialize, pray and eat.
According to the report, the architect of the program, called the Demographics Unit, was a veteran CIA officer who also oversees the operations.
Press TV interviewed Abdul Alim Musa, Imam of Masjid al-Islam in Washington, to discuss the issue.
Press TV: It seems there is a very carefully orchestrated campaign against Muslims in America. The NYPD insisted that there is not special unit to spy on Muslims in collaboration with the CIA, which is prohibited from spying inside the US. Why should they single out Muslim communities for surveillance and infiltration? What do you think is behind this campaign?
Musa: In the name of God. This infiltration and spying on Muslims go back several decades but as far as African Americans are concerned, there has been a series of activities for over a hundred years. The first job of the FBI was to spy on Marcus Garvey from 1917 to 1922.

A basic human right is that you should not have to live with fear of those around you. If you are fearful, you can leave. In the United States, we hold to that basic human right and take in refugees from around the world.
By the same standards and beliefs, if someone feels fearful in the United States, they should leave and go to another location where they will be comfortable.

At the beginning of W.W.II a major reason for relocating American citizens of Japanese origin was for their protection.
In those days there were damn few (if any) "intelleftuals" and media employees screaming at us that the attacks on America were mostly our fault, that we are no good.
People suspected of aiding the Imperial Japanese were in fact held in strict conditions. Most were not.
I suggest that this arrangement for Muslims who feel in danger should be made available for the duration. I am compassionate to a fault.
Americans of Japanese ancestry did enlist to fight for America.
I absolutely believe that American Muslims living in America will not join the battle against the Islamists -- even though tens of millions of their Muslim brothers and sisters in Turkey DO oppose political Islam and Sharia law. Go figure.

The only suspicion and distrust would be generated within the terrorist cells already in place, as it would hinder them from actively recruiting from within the Muslim community. The only fear being generated, is the fear that they will be detected before carrying out any operations against America.

Their very nature is to suspect for most within Islam have been abused in one form or another for much of thier childhood and adult life in their home countries. Few escape it. So ti's natural for them to be looking over their shoulder and suspect. They are so with each other...hugely so.
But then they come onto the soil of a country they have determined to conquer from within, and permote their agenda which is in full swing....and want somehow for that to go without notice.
