September 1, 2011 Billings, Mont. During his presentation on the status of the nations new country-of-origin labeling (COOL) law, and on behalf of the R-CALF USA COOL Committee, R-CALF USA member and Kansas cattle feeder Mike Callicrate was asked a non-COOL question that set convention goers on their heels during the 12th Annual R-CALF USA Convention held August 26-27 in Rapid City, S.D.
Has the Environmental Protection Agency declared hay a pollutant? an audience member asked. Callicrate responded affirmatively and explained that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently initiated a formal enforcement action against his Kansas feedlot for, among other things, failure to store his hay in a pollution containment zone. Now that EPA has declared hay a pollutant, every farmer and rancher that stores hay, or that leaves a broken hay bale in the field is potentially violating EPA rules and subject to an EPA enforcement action, Callicrate said. How far are we going to let this agency go before we stand up and do something about it?

You’re right! Photosynthesis releases CO2 to the air- causing global warming. Run away....!!
And Reagan rightly pointed out... that these plants and plankton take up C02 make oxygen from it.. The more C02 the more plant growth you have and the more... oxygen to sustain life.

Subject to methane release studies.... cows with ahole meters... seriously. It was done with our money.. that and belching.
Now for humans belching beer... we’ll have to see.

Farmers in Iowa are being harassed by EPA about particulate matter, aka DUST flying in the air from their fields when planting....just amazing!

Cow flatulence is in the sites of the EPA overreach...not sure where that issue is, but said contributes to greenhouse gasses?!?! EPA needs to go...any candidates willing to make that part of their platform have my vote :)

Hmmm. Hay is a pollutant. Pollutants must be lowered. Who eats hay? Cows, horses, goats, sheep, maybe others. Other than horses, what do the other animals have in common? They are, ahem, food, specifically meat earns by humans. Since the EPA is managed and populated by environmental radicals who by and large are vegan, what is the one thing ALL environmental radical vegans arrogantly believe? That's right. They think that vegan is better for the planet so if they can make the production and consumption of meat as food either outrageously expensive or components necessary to the production cycle illegal and whizz, bang, boom, meat is shunned in favor of vegetables and fruits. Now when your gut gets a huge dose of veggies and it produces flatulence, whizz, bang, boom, they will institute a methane reduction investment or as is more commonly called, a fart tax. Don't laugh. They figured out a way to tax part of the air we breathe in and all of the air we breathe out, so given enough time, those farts will figure out how to tax our farts.

We are seeing all the liberals go stark raving mad, they see the handwriting on the wall and know the jig is up for any of their socialiust agenda in 2012 and are pulling out all the stops.
Nobama is systematically pissin off everyone except holder’s people and the mafia unions and maybe even them when it gets right down to how the cow ate the cabbage.
Unless its Mutt with VP jonboy, we will probably see the worst rout in American politics in a little more than 13 months. Historic ya are nobama.

John, don’t mean to pour cold water on a cool post, but ya got it backards. Photosyntheis takes CO2 in and turn O2 out.

Yup. Photosynthesis changes the energy from the sun into chemical energy, splits water, releasing O2, fixing CO2 into various plant sugars. Mixed it up with aerobic respiration— which was Reagan’s shocking accurate point to the tree-huggers— that plants release C02— there is a balance.
The whole carbon credit thing annoys hell out of me- as it should any carbon based life form!! Some other post here in the last few days focused on “natural burial” and recycling people— soylent green LOL.

The Tea Party should declare Ring Dings a pollutant and see how Fat Lisa Jackson likes that.

Lisa Jackson is obviously on a starvation diet, or she wouldn’t be so mean to farmers.
You can’t make this sh*t up.

If they keep poking us with that sharp stick, we’re going to turn around and bite them. This will not end well for them, and I do not confine my remarks to just the EPA.
