I keep seeing Palin supporters making this feeble claim. The reason most candidates get a bump when they enter the race is because they are not well-known, so they pick up a lot of people who are taking a look at them for the first time. Palin has almost 100% name recognition, and she has been campaigning almost non-stop for three years, if you include her TV shows, Tea Party events, bus tours, Fox News gig, etc. Almost everyone knows her and almost everyone has an opinion - for almost 2/3 of them, that opinion is negative. So she is not going to suddenly get a bump in the polls because she jumps in. To do that, she is going to have to start changing people's minds about her.And I'll tell you, I'm trying real hard to not let the Palin supporters here in FR color my opinion of Palin but, man, it's hard. They are SOOOO much like the Ron Paul supporters. Not all of them. But the ones who feel duty-bound to chase around every Perry thread. Even the Ron Paul supporters don't do that. They post stupid stuff on Ron Paul threads. But the fanatics who THINK they are doing Palin a favor (they most decidedly are not) by busting into every Perry thread and taking a crap on the floor (WORSE than Ron Paul supporters, now that I think of it) are only making their own case look weak.
My question to THOSE Palin supporters (and I know they are a minority but they are a very very vocal minority):
If you have such a great candidate why do you have to go around so PERSISTENTLY acting like an A-HOLE????

We have 10’s of thousands of men on the front line named Ramos that deserve respect.
Apparently you fail to make a distinction between LEGAL and ILLEGAL. One of my best friends name is Ramos; he served many years in the Navy here in San Diego. But he and his family are LEGAL. He and those like him will always have my respect.

IF the United States considered them ILLEGAL INVADERS, they would enforce the laws and deport them. They are not viewed that way by our politicians. So the ILLEGAL Invaders are not the problem. The problem is that we simply don't enforce the law.

Bull. Liberals are encouraging them to violate the laws and they want the laws overturned. I want the laws enforced. If we enforced the laws, the invasion would end.
Don't be such an ass. If you were born in Mexico, I'm sure you would have emigrated here. Frankly I can't believe that there are still people living in Mexico. But then a lot of them are retired Americans.
We both have earned tough hides from being here a decade or more. I’m sure more would speak out, but seeing the nasty vitriolic personal attacks for having an opinion that does not agree with theirs is the deterrent.

Here's a hint; Perry is currently the 'frontrunner' as you Perry apologists love to say. I don't like that a man with such a liberal past is the 'frontrunner'. If that bothers you, too bad because I'm going to continue posting the truth about Perry and his liberal record anyway.

It is an important issue and the changes Perry advocates are not the most important thing we need to fix. The Economy is job one. And like Reagan, he granted amnesty across the board, yet very little condemnation of his Presidency comes from the same group who eviscerates Perry over the issue.
And I understand that you think ILLEGAL aliens who serve in the military should get citizenship, I just happen to disagree. You can't accept that w/o telling me to "Stick your condescending opinion up your ***?
