Coulter on Palin: Let’s face it, she’s probably not electable

Interesting segment, not because Coulter’s advancing any new criticisms of Palin but because she’s willing to acknowledge openly the political risk on the right in criticizing her in the first place. According to Coulter, conservatives refuse to challenge Palin publicly because they don’t want to deal with the hate mail from her supporters. That’s part of it, I’m sure — by now, all columnists and bloggers know what awaits after criticizing Palin or, say, Ron Paul — but I suspect the better part is that there’s simply no faster ticket to RINOville among some grassroots conservatives than uttering a discouraging word about Sarah. It’s the ultimate “one of us” litmus test; not even a right-winger as stalwart and confrontational as Coulter is immune, apparently, from the inevitable establishment/RINO/sellout/”Beltway cocktail party” nonsense afterward. That said, I’m curious why she’s speaking up now. Has she reached the point where she just doesn’t care anymore? Or is she so worried about the election that she’s willing to lose some fans in the interest of maximizing the GOP’s advantage?

Exit quotation: “She’s become sort of the Obama of the tea party, she’s just ‘The One’ to a certain segment of right-wingers.” Click the image to watch.

It just is amazing to me that I have to even write such ridiculous things.
Common sense and morality were pretty much universal with most educated people decades ago.

People thinking moral relativism can work in societies have just to look at Europe....these societies are imploding—not reproducing except for the degenerates and immigrants. They teach children pornography at the age of four—with the “sex box”....and the last article I read said that 40% of Europeans are mentally ill. Their sex ed comes right out of the degenerate Herbert Marcuse’s mind and along with Political Correctness and Critical Theory (tear down societies) to destroy Western Civilization-—He wrote all about this....and people are adopting it.

Homosexual movement was founded by a Communist (Hays) who wants to destroy the US and make sex with boys legal—And the Unions—to create their socialist state. Insane that Ann Coulter backs cultural Marxism. and joined forces with a Marxist movement to destroy the family unit and Christianity and endorse sexual immorality for a civil society. Not possible.

Hey, how come there are never any (hypocrite) big mouths on Palin bashing threads yammering on about "Republicans eating their own"?

You phony bastards! You know who you are

“because she made an unforced decision to
abandoned the Governorship of Alaska”

I would argue that it was FORCED.

And you and the media make a big deal about her quitting as Gov. Doesn’t bother me one bit. She explained it. Over done with, gone.

“A sufficient number of voters
will intuitively follow that logic”

No they won’t. Nobody really cares about this. It’s a straw dog the media put up so they can attack it. Non issue to voters.

Only when it’s unfounded. There is an agenda at play here to keep Palin out of the race. It’s a concerted effort by the establishment and it’s predictable. Honest criticism is one thing, but these people (like Coulter, Krathammer, Rove, O’Reilly, et al) are simply trying to put forth the narrative that Palin is a lightweight with zero chance of being elected. In fact, they know the opposite is true and they are scared witless about it! She is an existential threat, not only to the left, but also to establishment Republicans and they just can’t tolerate that!

Never mind what Coulter has said about Palin - the fact that she slobbers all over herself over that slob Christy tells me everything I need to know - that and the fact that she’s best buds with the human vermin (aka Bill Maher).

Everyone is free to question her electability by voting in the primaries four or five months from now like good citizens rather than resting on the lorals of the party annointed. Annointed politicians like Dole and McCain work out so well after all.

Or are some people afraid of actual elections?

Who said we shouldn't vote on who will represent our party or that Palin shouldn't be allowed in the primary? Certainly not me. I may even end up voting for her myself. What I'm opposed to is the predictable flame throwing that comes along anytime fellow conservatives voice their concerns over her obvious weaknesses. In fact, it kind of creeps me out.

Since when was Coulter an "establishment Republican?" I'm pretty sure McCain wasn't who Coulter supported in the primary last go around.

The ad hominem attacks by some Freepers on Ann prove her point.

Some of these statements/allegations are so childish that I suspect DemTrolls. OTOH, some people just can’t tolerate others who only agree with them 90% of the time. It’s 100% or nothing - just like the marxists.

The whole "Sarah can't win" narrative is utter BS, once you think about it.

Isn't this why we have primaries and the nomination process in the first place? So that many candidates can offer their vision, and the People can then decide?

What's with this sudden need to discourage certain GOP figures from even entering the race?

Can't Sarah at least enter the race if she so desires, and let the chips fall where they may?

And, if Sarah is so unelectable, then why is the LSM trying so hard to convince people of that? It just doesn't make sense unless they actually FEAR Sarah's electability, now does it?

Coulter looks foolish here, as do any other pundits who deign to tell us who should or shouldn't enter the GOP race. The premise simply doesn't stand up to scrutiny. Isn't that what the race is for in the first place: to see who really is electable?

What's with the desire to prematurely exclude someone who is a staunch Republican? Let the chips fall where they may.

I don't get it and I've had enough of being told who's electable or not. I mean, I despise Romney, but I'm not about to tell people he shouldn't even bother to try for the nomination.

The more, the merrier, and why the heck not?
