You Decide: Did Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa Go Too Far? (Time to vote)
foxnews ^ | 9/7/11

Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa is under fire for his harsh words about the Tea Party. Hoffa told a crowd in Detroit that America faced "a war on workers, you see it everywhere -- it is the Tea Party," and urged the crowd to "take these son-of-a-bitches out." Hoffa made the comments while introducing President Obama. Did Hoffa cross the line with his heated rhetoric?

Yes, for crying out loud! What a stupid question. This jackass thug handed out a dictate and a permission slip to every lib anarchist in the country to man handle and “take out” your tea partying Grandmother. And from I’ve been reading it’s working.

Hoffa’s speech was not a slippery slope... it is a stinking sewer where America does NOT need to follow him.

Hoffa can craw back down into that stinking sewer he came from and take all his supporters with him. It is NOT the America I know or want.

Did he go too far? Not really he let us know exactly what he is thinking. If anything, he probably held back as he was speaking in public.

I truely hope that this comes back to haunt the unions.

First of all, the unions and Dummycrats deathly fear the Tea Party and will do ANYTHING to destroy them. Just listen to all the talking heads on the liberal side. Lies, cheat, murder, etc., anything to get their way.

We can only hope and pray that their stupidity will come back to roost on election days. We saw evidence of that here in the Wisconsin recalls recently and can only hope the rest of the nation will make the Dummcrats and UNIONS pay a severe price.

The unions are running the White House now and are fearful of loosing their grip.

I don't think he went too far. I think he was spot-on. He very succinctly and plainly demonstrated what organized labor is all about.

It's not just public sector unions that are the problem. It's ALL unions. And it isn't just the leadership. It's all their "brothers and sisters" in solidarity. The few poor souls who are unwilling to divorce themselves from union work doesn't change the fact.

In effect, ALL unions are public sector unions anyway. They all rely on government protection and coercion for their existence.

I applaud Hoffa for declaring war openly. I hope our side will rise to the occasion and crush the commie bastards.

I think this goes for “Progressives” (communists) in general.

They have reached the limits of the political process and see themselves actually starting to lose ground on that front.

Time for them to “explore” another front, it seems.
It is one of the inherent tenets of communism that the revolution from capitalism to socialism MUST be violent in order to purge and intimidate any opposition.

No one has mentioned that the people sitting behind him were all in union t-shirts. Reminded me of brown shirts behind another well known orator who threatened his enemies. I expect to see many more SEIU thugs at TEA party events. Not so much AFSCME or NEA union members, I can't see a bunch of bureaucrats and teachers acting as thugs...but we'll see. I

Young Hoffa there is besmirching the reputation of the Mob.

He'll have to pay for that.

Tagline for rent, cheap:

To defeat the left, expose the left.

This is what Hoffa just did - further expose the left’s dark underbelly.

As a “Teamster for life,” so I was once told, I can comment that Hoffa’s remarks are not at unusual at local union meetings because that stuff is red meat for the boys. But that Detroit thing was a NATIONAL rally in the presence of the president (admittedly an a-hole but him being there should have called for some semblance of decorum).

Hoffa spilled his guts in an ugly matter because he is THUGGISH and has NO CLASS. If I could bet on it, I’ll bet he gets dumped in the union election.

He went beyond the pale with a direct dictate to do exactly what happened to Giffords (sp?). The president not repudiating the statement show just how much contempt he has for the Tea Party specifically and in general a large portion of the populace that holds similar views.

The fact that Carney is enough of an idiot to say that Obama speaks for himself and that he (Carney) speaks for Obama and not realize the contradiction shows the level of intelligence we are dealing with in this administration. They really see no reason to repudiate the remarks by Hoffa; one because they agree, but two, because they just don’t give a damn how anyone with a different view thinks or feels.

I voted, but refused to sign up to leave a comment. But, here’s what I would have said: Such comments, which in principle are not new for the thug portion of our society, has led Mrs. Jennings2004 and me to obtain our handgun carry permits. Indeed, the union thugs may be able to “...take us (as we both are Tea Party ‘terrorists’) out...” but, they will be opting to pay a serious price for instigating the process...just saying.

Slightly off thread, but please allow me:

I don’t know how to post on FR, but there’s an interesting poll on http://www.msn.com re: Dear Leader...nearly 150,000 votes and he’s losing 2 to 1...did give me one thing to smile about!

Yes, of course; inciting to violence is reprehensible. No, on the other hand — it was a great gift to those of us who think the unions are WAY over-rated and need to be throttled back and duct-taped into oblivion. The more the Truth is revealed, the more the rot stinks.

“I can’t see a bunch of teachers acting as thugs’ — perhaps is because you are thinking of your elementary school teachers. The Wisconsin union thugs — who LOST, thank you to the good citizens there — many of them were teachers.

Obama has his Sister Souljah moment presented to him on a plate and he passed it by. This is the most perfect example of the difference between an intelligent, opportunistic politician—Bill Clinton—and a handler-dependent ideologue. It was a golden opportunity to show leadership on a national issue on a national stage—to actually look Presidential—and his ideological gag reflex snapped shut.

This was a critical moment and he did not seize it. All of the smart money on Intrade will go short Obama.

Did you see how fat he is? I doubt very much he can fit. Most likely all that rich food he eats at fancy restaurants on the workers dues.
