I am sorry that you are unable to see and/or accept the truth. There is absolutely no hyperbole in what follows and thoughtful Freepers will recognize the calm and rational arguments presented.
Truth: No studies have ever been done that specifically separates out what is learned in the classroom ( if anything) as compared to the knowledge acquired in the HOME due to the efforts of the parents and the child himself. If you like, I can send the e-mail from the Stanford education professor who plainly told this is the case. This has NEVER been studied!
Truth: Since it is unknown where learning occurs ( home or school) or who is doing the teaching ( parent, child, friend of the family, or teacher) it is IMPOSSIBLE to know if any government school is actually academically “good” or not.
Truth: If it is the parents and child,( due to afterschooling,) that are producing the high standardized scores and not the schools, then it is absolute IDIOCY to expect that ineffectual schools would be helpful for children from dysfunctional families.
As to the moral aspects of government schooling:
Truth: It is an abomination to force children to attend godless government schools that destroy their faith in God and teach them to think and reason godlessly. It is equally abominable to force children from godless homes to attend government schools that might be God-centered. There is no way to resolve the conundrum. The only solution compatible with the First Amendment and freedom of conscience is to abolish government schooling. An Exception would be schooling that is directly related to military defense.
Truth: All government schools are socialist funded. Children who attend are at risk of becoming acculturated to government force ( and voting mob pressure) taking money from a neighbor to pay for things they want for free.
This is a strawman. I have never stated that and I can not defend a strawman of **your** creation. ( Hm?...You're and engineer and use this debating tactic? Odd.)
I have stated the following:
Homeschooling is the most ideal way to rear a child to successful adulthood....***BUT**...Some parents can not homeschool. Some parents are too stupid, too ill-educated, too emotionally ill, too lazy, too materialistic, too narcisitic, too poor, too sick, are single parents, too career minded...etc.!
The children from these homes need institutionalization for their schooling. We need orphanages, too, but no one is claiming that orphanages is the best way to rear a child.
As for institutionalized schooling, government schooling is absolutely incompatible with First Amendment human right and freedom of conscience.

By the way....Were you aware that **ideas** are the most powerful thing in the universe and beyond? That we exist at all began as an idea in the mind of God. Well.....Government schools are evil, and so are those promoting them. This is a powerful idea.
