Al Gore: Obama bows to polluters
By: Dan Berman September 7, 2011 03:09 PM EDT
Former Vice President Al Gore is unhappy with Barack Obama.
In a blog post Wednesday afternoon, Gore took Obama to task for his decision late last week to scrap EPAs proposed update of George W. Bush-era smog regulations.
Instead of relying on science, President Obama appears to have bowed to pressure from polluters who did not want to bear the cost of implementing new restrictions on their harmful pollution even though economists have shown that the U.S. economy would benefit from the job creating investments associated with implementing the new technology, Gore wrote.
The result of the White Houses action will be increased medical bills for seniors with lung disease, more children developing asthma and the continued degradation of our air quality."
Gore noted that at the same time Obama was backtracking on smog, brave and committed activists were getting arrested in front of the White House as part of ongoing civil disobedience protests against the proposed Keystone XL oil pipeline.
The White House has said it ordered the EPA to revise the 2008 smog standard due to the importance of reducing regulatory burdens and regulatory uncertainty. Obama also said the EPA should wait to revise the rule until the next scheduled round of review is due in 2013.

Al Gore is spiraling ever further into his madness.
To think that this assclown was very nearly the President is seriously frightening.
Big deal...he bows to everyone.
"it must be warm garbage if Gore is involved"
I wrote here this morning that Gore should challenge Obama in the primaries..obvious Gore lurks...
The ship is sinking and the rats are jumping.
Poor Al, he’s watching that fortune he could’ve made with that global warming scam just slip away. So close, yet so far.
Gore has made a lot of $$$..even more than Clinton...
When a freeper sneezes progs shudder
Bless you...(g)
I think the time is right for algore to declare a primary challenge to Obama. Open primary cross voting time!
Good point - the press made Gore look sane - or kind of. They did the same for John Edwards and look what he turned out to be... Then we have Bill Ayers's friend, Obama...
That he does. At least this time he didn’t have to leave the country to do it.
Wow... Jimmuh Carter almost had a run for his money (for stupidest president ever) if AlGore would have won...
Based on the most recent picture I saw of Al Gore, he seems to be bowing to the Big Mac with large fries.
Hopefully, Pres. Obama doesn’t listen to idiots.
“Poor Al, hes watching that fortune he couldve made with that global warming scam just slip away. So close, yet so far.”
That along with the knowledge his once endless adulation and adoration is forever gone, to have been replaced with snickering, disgust and repulsion at the revulsive, grotesque, sweaty, morbidly obese man with the flaccid erection is what keeps me going every day.
Hypocrite. Your fat self is flying on a Gulfstream, whining about global warming while onion ring grease is dripping off your chin, bitching about how my driving 10 miles to work is killing the world. Hope you have permanent fecal incontinence to keep you company at night.
And stay away from massage therapists. They don’t want to see your nasty viagra induced softon.
If you’ve seen algore lately it looks like he ate all of Cleveland harbor.
I figure if we all get him heated about global warming enough he’ll pop a vein and be off.
Can anyone imagine him and ole manatee size Tipper doing IT???
Yeah I know she left the prevert.
Gore should know about pollution. His land in middle Tennesse polluted the local river. His house had no septic tank and the runoff of waste went directly into the streams.
His rental house on the property was practically condemned. It was painted inside with lead paint that was peeling off the walls.
