It's Not About Terrorism... It's About Shariah

If there were just one single concept about Islam and jihad and terrorism that I could convey as we approach the tenth commemoration of the 9/11 attacks, it would be this: it’s not about the violence. It’s not just about the terrorism. It’s about shariah. It’s about Islamic law.

Americans across the country are preparing to mark September 11, 2011 as a solemn observance in memory of the thousands of people killed and injured in the horrific attacks of ten years ago. It is right and proper that we should do so. The damage to property slowly is being repaired, but the empty places in hearts and homes remain and always will.

It is also appropriate that we, the people, as well as our national security leadership take measure of how well that leadership has improved the performance of our Intelligence Community (IC) so that never again will the United States (U.S.) be unprepared to confront and defeat the enemy before, instead of after, such a devastating strike. Unfortunately, an honest assessment of that performance would show a dangerously deficient failure to either identify or accurately describe the forces that struck us on 9/11.

Instead of forthrightly investigating not just the specific terrorist group—al-Qa’eda—that was directly responsible for launching those particular attacks, but also the ideology that animated their hatred, our national security leadership instead has retreated into a craven pretense that there is no such ideology, or that it exists, but only among a small minority who twist its true meaning. This may permit that leadership the comforting charade that terrorism has nothing to do with Islam but, given that the Qur’an itself explicitly commands Muslims to inflict terror on their enemies, it doesn’t do much for national security. Nor does it help us understand that al-Qa’eda is merely one discrete group that is part of a much larger whole, a whole that defines itself as “Islamic”, that has been fighting non-Muslims since its inception in the 7th century to impose Islamic law (shariah) on everyone, Muslim and non-Muslim alike. If we acknowledged that sobering reality, we would have to acknowledge also that the Khomeinist regime in Iran and its terror proxy, Hizballah, joined forces with al-Qa’eda as far back as the early 1990s and provided direct and material support to al-Qa’eda for the 9/11 attacks. We would have to acknowledge that every other terrorist group with the words “Islamic” or “Jihad” or “Allah” in its name or charter is part of the enemy alliance, too. We literally would have to change our national security strategy. Drastically.

According to official U.S. government policy, though, there is only “violent extremism.” This deliberately anodyne term, scrubbed of all meaning that could possibly be offensive to the enemy—who is 100% candid enough to call himself Muslim and jihadist—was selected precisely because it defines nothing. It doesn’t even explain what Usama bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri, Khaled Sheikh Mohammed, Abu Musab al-Suri and the rest have told us in their own words is the reason they attack and fight us. The most cursory scan of their writing (see “The Al-Qaeda Reader” by Raymond Ibrahim, for example; or the six English-language issues now available of the al-Qa’eda online magazine Insight) would clarify things rather quickly. So would reference to the Islamic doctrine, law, and scriptures that these terrorists invariably cite to justify their actions. It is also not difficult to see that Al-Qa’eda writing and the Qur’an, hadiths, and Sira all align quite neatly. In other words, the enemy is who he says he is and America’s national security leadership is derelict of professional duty and constitutional oaths of office when they ignore it.

Lacking an enemy threat definition of its own, our national leadership seems bent on ensuring that no one else should have one either. What else can explain the sequence of national security documents, from the National Counterterrorism Center’s “Words That Work” (March 2008), to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)’s “Domestic Extremism Lexicon” (March 2009), to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)’s “Counterterrorism Lexicon” (April 2010), to the President’s own “National Strategy for Counterterrorism” (June 2011), that have completely erased every single word that would accurately describe the enemy that struck us on 9/11 as that enemy describes himself? There is not one single usage of the terms Caliphate, enemy, Muslim, jihad, or shariah in these documents. How can that possibly be?

The only way to explain the IC’s devastating failure to come to grips with the enemy forces of shariah Islam is to realize how badly compromised our intelligence agencies have allowed themselves to become over the last decade. When President Bush went to the Washington, D.C. Islamic Center the day after Muslim hijackers screaming “Allahu Akbar” slammed civilian airliners into the Pentagon, World Trade Center, and Pennsylvania countryside and declared that “Islam is a religion of peace,” it was obvious that something already was badly wrong with America’s national security capabilities. But a full ten years later, when Deputy National Security Advisor (Denis McDonough) went to the ADAMS (All Dulles Area Muslim Society) Center in March 2011, at the invitation of its Executive Director, Mohammad Majid, who is also president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the largest Muslim Brotherhood/HAMAS support entity in the U.S., things clearly have gotten terrifyingly worse.

It’s not as though information about who and what the Muslim Brotherhood is were somehow unavailable. It’s not. To the contrary, massive evidence presented at the 2008 Holy Land Foundation HAMAS terror funding trial was placed on the Internet at the specific instruction of the Texas judge in the case so that Americans could see it for themselves. Among those documents is one called “An Explanatory Memorandum on the Strategic Goals for North America,” written in 1991 by a top Muslim Brotherhood leader living in the U.S. Approved at the top levels of the international Muslim Brotherhood (based in Egypt), and exposed in the Clarion Fund’s critically-acclaimed documentary film The Third Jihad: Radical Islam’s Vision for America, this document, openly states that the Muslim Brotherhood is waging a “Civilization-Jihad process” which is “a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.” And just so there would be no confusion, the last page of this same document includes a list of more than two dozen Muslim Brotherhood “organizations and the organizations of our friends” (as of 1991) – and ISNA is on that list.

Now, if “violent extremism” were all we need worry about, then why would the Brotherhood go to the trouble of establishing a massive network of civilian, non-profit organizations that are not violent terrorist groups to wage this thing called the “civilization-jihad process” that is intended to destroy our country? One must go back to that Orwellian term, “violent extremism,” and ask “About what are they being extreme”? And if the answer is “shariah Islam”, as must be compellingly obvious by this point, then what was our Deputy National Security Advisor doing in a place like the ADAMS Center in the company of Imam Majid talking about “religious freedom and tolerance”? Sayyed Qutb, one of the key theoreticians of the Muslim Brotherhood, wrote about building bridges between the fighters of jihad and their targets: “The chasm between Islam and Jahiliyyah is great, and a bridge is not to be built across it so that people on the two sides may mix with each other, but only so that the people of Jahiliyyah may come over to Islam…”

The most important lesson for us this tenth year after September 11 must be that there is no possible way to defeat an enemy whose very name it is forbidden to speak. The name of that enemy is not “all Muslims”: rather, the enemy is those who fight jihad in the name of shariah Islam. We must understand that the violent terrorism that is commanded by Islamic law has a purpose: to impose such a psychological burden of terror on non-Muslim populations that they will lose faith and hope in their own leaders and religions and societal principles and simply find it easier to capitulate to shariah. It is at that point, when the Dar al-Islam (Islamic world) subjugates the Dar al-Harb (non-Muslim world), that jihad and terrorism will end—because the objective, to impose Islamic law globally—will have been achieved. Jihadis use terror because it works, not because all they want is piles of dead bodies. What jihadis want is a world submissive to Islam and Islamic law. If they can get that through a “civilization-jihad process,” via stealth, guile, and infiltration, they will. The violence is intended to set the stage, soften up the target, and of course, for the final push, to complete the defeat of an America so weakened from within that one last terrorist onslaught will collapse it completely.

Every time America’s leaders appoint Muslim Brotherhood affiliates to advisory boards who tell them to use the enemy’s definitions of the war he is waging against us; every time the mainstream media publish attacks against the speakers of truth or fail to defend those like the brave officers of the New York Police Department who work every day to defend us; and every time our leaders agree to discuss criminalizing free speech because jihadis call it “Islamophobia,” America slips a little closer to losing this war. On this anniversary of September 11, 2001, it is long since past time to re-dedicate this country to a defense of our foundational principles based on reason, the nature of man, the inalienable rights of all human beings, and the natural law that derives from them. If we reacquaint ourselves with the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, Federalist Papers and other timeless documents of our Founding Fathers, we will instinctively know that the jihadist advocates of Islamic law who seek to terrorize us are themselves the empty minions of a savage and broken ideology called shariah.

We Americans have something priceless here in this new Shining City on a Hill: it is the power of the individual who knows he is free and equal to every other and need submit to no one and nothing to which he does not give his consent. This is the real meaning of American exceptionalism. The price of keeping it is “eternal vigilance,” as Thomas Jefferson said. This September 11, let us pledge ourselves once more to eternal vigilance in defense of the American Republic we call home.

Obama? In the mood for speeches? Lets have him try this one ~ why he prefers the Sharia over our own constitution. He is purposefully shredding it for a reason and his own personal agenda~ Islam. Islam and his dream of a post America world.

Show me where Islam has contributed one thing to the betterment of mankind. Show me their list of achievements and accomplishments. You can’t. They have purposefully been oppressed by their Sharia.

What you can show me though is their long list of raiding, stealing, raping and murder. This they know. They are not creators or builders, no, just destroyers. Again show me one advancement the third world barbarians have given modern man.

Sharia should be outlawed as it is both treasonous and seditious. Its only role is to supplant existing constitutions and replace it with what allah said was supreme. Sharia is antithetical to democracy....

Ayaan Hirsi Ali wrote Infidel, 2007. She was Somali and had lived in Kenya, Saudi Arabia, and Ethiopia before fleeing to Holland and becoming a member of their Parliament. When last I heard she was working for The American Enterprise Institute, which was also protecting her from assassination.

Irshad Manji who wrote The Trouble With Islam: A Muslim’s Call for Reform in Her Faith, 2003. A quote near the end of the book after showing the draft to a fellow Muslim gives the flavor of her writing. “Your narrative needs more love. Not for the Mullahs, but for the billions of souls over the centuries who prostrated...and offered their small, unhappy lives to God’s glory.” Her response—”Excuse me for ruining the moment, but why should so many lives be ‘small’ and ‘unhappy’, especially under a merciful God?” She lists several web sites of people who are trying to modernize Islam or escape from it altogether.

The dude is a muslim. NOT a DOUBT

If he was interested making a speech, he should be making a patriotic 9-11 speech about the American constitution and how it made America the most successful nation in the World. He should be comparing and contrasting Sharia with the American constitution. BUT he cant, at two levels.

He is busy shredding the Constitution... why? In his heart there is no constitution other than Sharia. Allah told him so. Then, he has a twinkie in the other ear calling out marxist concepts which are consistent with muslim tribal life. The poor boy hears too many voices.

The sooner America recognizes it has a Ghazi in the white House, the better off it will be.
