Who knows, the GOP might "compromise" on some part of it, say to get the free trade stuff or some other goodies passed. Obama doesn't expect to get "taxes on the rich" passed unless the Dems take over congress in 2012, but he will try to squeeze Boehner to get something. Pelosi could work with Boehner if the GOP splits, with phony "budget cuts."
This is the same old ploy. More spending now. Promise cuts later.

Republicans been playing the same game too, they pass something in the House that they know is extremely unpopular (because they polled it ahead of time) and has no chance of being law and then later claim that if it was law it would have fixed that 'big' problem, hoping no-one remembers the details.
