It was an ordinary night, August 26, at the Exxon Tiger Mart at South Polk Street and Interstate 20 in Dallas.
C.J. Thomas, the store's clerk, was behind the counter when a rush of customers came through the door at 10:12 p.m.
"There was more coming in than going out," Thomas said. "Once they realized how many were in there, one of the students started throwing stuff and screamed out. Everything after that went crazy."
Store surveillance cameras from different angles show bottles being thrown.
Seconds later, Thomas ran to the front door. He tried to close it, but he couldn't hold back the crowd.
Some of them grabbed drinks, chips, and other items and began pushing their way out. Thomas said he tried to stop some people from stealing.
"In the process of them walking out, tried to stop a student with a lot of things in his hands and when I tried to do that, he shoved me out into the parking lot and swung at me," Thomas said.

In Dallas, well...yes. Try that in some smaller communities here in TX.
The unemployable seem angry.
Officers are now investigating the incident as an aggravated robbery assault. Thomas hopes this video motivates witnesses to come forward.
BUT - NO HATE CRIME!!!
Just as I suspected.
Amish youts, rushing to get last minute canning supplies for the fall harvest.
This area of Dallas in particular.
Ha, ha, exactly!
Oh no! Don’t tell me that the Amish have moved into Dallas? Where will they go next - Houston? Oh, they’re already there?
Is there no end to this inhumanity?
It's a powerful argument against entitlements because you know most, if not all, are on the government dole.
If they had jobs, they likely wouldn't do something like this, due to time constraints, fear of getting fired for doing something like this, self-respect gained from employment, etc.
Pretty sure I’ve been to that store.
While Texas has its share of human garbage there is still a lot of Katrina refugee trash that never went home to the “chocolate city.”
These wouldn’t be Katrina refugess, would they?
And when these businesses finally had enough and close up shop, I’ll bet it will be the epitome of racism that a new ‘food desert’ has formed. Sometimes you have to wonder why blacks don’t open up convenience stores or grocery stores in black neighborhoods. . . NOT!
Could be the refuse left by Katrina, but I thought that ended up in Houston.
Black thugs only stay in line when there is a strong man in the nation’s capital. It’s such a pity we have to put up with them; in a civilized country, one wouldn’t have to be constantly ‘tough’ just to keep a violent 12-14% minority in line.
I dreamed of a space marine named Vasquez who came in and said “Lets rock!!”. Then total carnage ensued as she mowed down every one of them.
Even here in Dallas, if a CHL holder had been in there shopping there might have been a different outcome...
