FWIW, it's not a smart approach to gaining a majority. By alienating supporters of other candidates with over the top tactics and language it makes it that much harder to support her if she were to be the candidate instead of another that you considered better. We would be smart to remember who the enemy really is.

You apparently are unwilling to grasp the obvious concept that the presidential candidate is the one who sets the policies for the ticket, not the veep, because the veep is not the one seeking the job where they WILL set the policies if they win.
And I have only 'bashed' Perry on specific issues or utterances, such as his nonsense the other day about using a 35 foot ladder to get over a 30 foot fence, a line right out of la Raza talking points.
I have never said he is dishonest, never said he is corrupt, never said he pushed the Gardasil mandate in return for Merck campaign contributions (even as I disagreed with the mandate itself), and I could support his candidaacy if he wins the nomination, unlike someone like Mitt or Huntsman.
All I am doing is pointing out your absurdity about bashing Palin for not bucking the top of the ticket in 2008, and your bashing Palin for backing the guy in 2010 who made her both a household name and a well-paid household name.
If you see Palin doing that as dishonest, well, you are looking for reasons to bash her, even as you lecture others on the same thread about looking for reasons to bash Perry.
In other words, you are being a rank hypocrite, but we've come to expect that from a lot of supporters of all stripes during primary silly season.

Why does FR feel the need to tear up each other as if they are the candidate themselves?
This is why FR is losing it’s ground - people here don’t allow any freedom of thought. At all. It’s either one way or the highway depending on the person.
This election is about beating Obama. The candidate that should be nominated should hopefully meet at the place where they are the most conservative, yet most electable.
is that Perry? I don’t know. Is it Palin? No one knows since she won’t commit to running. Is it Romney? For quite a while it looked like it.
The point is, the FOCUS should be finding the BEST candidate to beat Obama, NOT ripping each other apart because they favor one candidate or another.
I realize this sentiment is way too mature for most of the people who inhabit this place that have a born-on date of 2008 or later, but let’s at least give some semblance of sanity and professionalism when discussing each of the candidates.
