Lawmaker's sign cracks decorum at Obama job speech [Waaaaaaah]
Yahoo News/AP ^ | 9- Sep-2011 | Laurie Kellman

Rep. Jeff Landry knew not to yell at President Barack Obama during his jobs address Thursday night to Congress. That move made Rep. Joe Wilson famous a couple of years ago, and not necessarily for the better. Instead, Republican leaders urged their members to show up, keep an open mind and be polite — voters were anxious and Congress' bickering had angered large majorities of them.

So Landry, R-La., instead printed out a small white sign to raise when Obama mentioned how, exactly, he planned to put more Americans to work.

"Drilling(equals)jobs," it read in big black letters. Seated two rows behind the well-mannered Wilson, R-S.C., Landry held it up when Obama acknowledged that Republicans might have ideas different from his $447 billion jobs package.

I guess Jeff Landry isn’t too worried about being re-elected.

FYI..Landry is a real cool guy..he’s a freshman, a Tea party member...they gave him lots of support and $$) and because LA is losing a CD, he’s going to run in the primary against Charles Boustany(sp?) who’s pretty much a RINO..It’s gonna be very interesting..Also...Sen Vitter is doing some joint events with Landy..Vitter is PO’d against most of the LA GOP establishment, and also Mitch McConnell..because he got NO support from the GOP last year...remember..Vitter had the sex scandal thing..his phone # was found in a call-girl’s book, or something, and he admitted to using a prostitute when his marriage was in trouble...it’s gonna be a very interesting race..

Not only that, but if the Delaware River Basin Commission had not put a moratorium on drilling for nat. gas in Northeast PA, the flooding happening now might have been lessened.

The reason for the moratorium: too much water being withdrawn from rivers.

He should’ve put on his sign:

Drilling = 1 million jobs

Cost = $0
