A Union Goes Too FarViolence by unionized longshoreman is noticed by the NLRB.
WAll Street Journal ^ | 9/9/11 | editorial board

It turns out a union can go so far that even the current National Labor Relations Board can't turn a blind eye. A grain operator at the Port of Longview in Washington state was hit with a violent strike yesterday by the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU). Longshoreman walked out at nearby ports in Tacoma and Seattle.

According to police reports, some 500 longshoreman broke in at about 4:30 a.m. Thursday morning and held six security guards hostage for two hours while the protesters rampaged through the facility. They cut brake lines on railroad cars and spilled grain from boxcars.

This is a very important issue because the strikers are SSA workers, a division of CARRIX, the largest cargo handling company in the world. Goldman Sachs is the majority stakeholder in CARRIX.

These are Obama's thugs. I'll explain in subsequent posts.

There is a lot more to this union action than meets the eye.

The Longview port is also a coal terminal. Right now, the coal is on hold for a permit paperwork violation.

While the Longview coal terminal is on hold, SSA, the company that is protesting the grain shipments from Longview, are pushing hard for a terminal of their own in Whatcom County, in a special economic zone that will have little to no local oversight. That terminal will be a “Gateway” terminal. In case you aren’t familiar with Gateways, they are part of the UN Agenda 21 Wildlands project. They are also what Patty Murray’s bill, S.942 are intended to fund. You know, the multi-modal infrastructure projects that Obama keeps saying that we need? Anyway, the only real profit on coal is in the terminals and SSA wants it all.

SSA is fully owned by CARRIX, the largest cargo handling company in the world. Goldman Sachs is the majority stockholder of CARRIX. The rail company that will carry the cargo to the Gateway terminal is BNSF, Warren Buffet’s company and the coal is owned by Peabody, from the Powder River Basin. It’s sub-bituminous coal supposedly headed to China, except that China says that no one should count on them for any long term purchase contracts.

The pressure to build this terminal has come straight from the White House. Richard Trumka, as the former head of the United Mine Workers, wants this badly, but the project may be running into some problems.

Oh, and did I mention that the husband of the WA State Senator, Patty Murray, has been a life time employee of SSA?

There is so much more to this story than what I have written here. It has torn the Democrat party in two, the unions vs the environmentalists and has caused problems for the GOP, who were tight with the Building and Industry people and were supporting a Democrat project for the alleged jobs.

The longshoremen or NLRB?

Oh, there’s more. As I mentioned, the pressure for the state officials to facilitate this Gateway Terminal came straight from the White House and it is widely thought that in exchange for her co-operation, the outgoing Democrat Governor, Christine Gregoire will be offered a seat on the NLRB.

I already mentioned that WA State Senator, Patty Murray’s, husband is a lifetime employee of SSA, but I forgot to mention that the other Senator, Maria Cantwell, who was a founding member of the Apollo Alliance and big supporter of the Sierra Club, worked to facilitate the approval of a receiving terminal to be built in China and operated by SSA.

....and that is really just an introduction to what has been happening on the left coast, while Obama’s EPA tried to shut down all the coal fired power plants on the East Coast. I am so glad that SSA got arrogant and stepped over the line so that the whole country could get a look at what is happening on the West Coast.

The ILWU has a history of violence as well as connections with Communists. Even the CIO denounced the ILWU as a communist organization in the 1940s.

From what I heard today it was not a union fighting a non-union it was one union protesting over the company selecting a different union.

Union vs Union.

I know that too well, up close and personal. The CIOA once had my grandparents run down by a hit and run driver because they were unhappy that my grandfather had been elected the first president of the Electrical Workers and Machinists at RCA.

READ MY POSTS. These thugs are Obama’s thugs. This is HIS plan.

This is the operative part of the article:

There is some concern that the strike against the two big ports could spread to other important U.S. points of entry if ILWU shops begin slowdowns in sympathy with the union in Washington state. If that happens, the events yesterday will become a national issue demanding the attention of a President who is desperately trying to hold his union base together. This one is worth watching.

What you need to remember is that SSA is owned by CARRIX, the largest Cargo handling company in the world. A general strike by CARRIX workers could shut down WORLD trade. These are Obama’s ace, that he has up his sleeve.

Thanks for the info. I wondered why MT’s governor Brian Swindler (D) was all bent out of shape because the environmentalists were not going to let MT coal be shipped out of there, and then he went silent. Bought off? Ordered to shut up?

I thought the environmental groups were trying to stop the Longview coal terminal as the coal would be burned in China, therefore adding to AGW.

Just wondering, any word on what the security guards’ union has to say on what happened?

The CIO denounced EVERYONE in the forties to cover for their own communist allegiance.

They denounced my grandfather as a communist after their attempt to kill him was unsuccessful and he was elected to the NJ State Assembly.

The CIO accused all the competing unions of being communists.

This really is looking like VERY early Nazi events, when that party was in its infancy.

Regardless, this is the sort of things that happen when an economy is in collapse. People start fighting over the scraps.

The ILWU in Hawaii provided financial backing for the Honolulu Record, a Commie rag, where Frank Marshall Davis spewed his anti-American poison.

'Hostage' has been 'debunked'.

According to the article:
Six guards were trapped for a couple of hours after at least 500 Longshoremen broke down gates about 4:30 a.m. and smashed windows in the guard shack, Longview Police Chief Jim Duscha said. He initially referred to the guards as "hostages," but later retracted that after the guards clarified no one had threatened them.

"The guards absolutely could not get out," Duscha said. "They feared for their lives because of the size of the crowd and the hostility of the crowd."

They were not 'hostages' - they were 'trapped', 'could not get out', and 'feared for their lives'. But they were not 'hostages'...the Police Chief said so...

That does not erase the fact the the Comintern did infact coordinate the infiltration of the ILWU as part of their plan to pull Hawai’i out of the US’ hands. A little known newspaper writer from Chicago, Frank Marshall Davis, was part of that plan.
